Comments about Fender Jim Root Signature Model Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Slipknot burst onto the scene in the late 90's breathing fresh air into the metal genre. They took the nu-metal scene to the top and became the leader amongst their peers putting out angst fueled seminal records in the heavy metal community.

Jim Root played Jacksons for years before playing Fender Flathead series guitars for a couple of years. Fender and him teamed up to deliver a seriously amazing telecaster with high end features. The neck on this guitar is absolutely incredible and the Mahagony body and Ebony fretboard on the white model is a very rare wood combination for telecaster resulting in almost a thick Les Paul sounding tone. Coupled with the EMG 81 in the bridge and 60 in the neck you are talking a huge powerful sound that could be used in either a metal or jazz setting alike.

These guitars are limited and seem to be in very high demand not just here at Sam Ash, but everywhere!

Comments about Fender Jim Root Signature Model Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar literally blew my mind. My expectations were high beings this is a signature model for a modern day legend. I was amazed. The ebony Fretboard w/ Jumbo Frets + the compound radius is fast and sleek. The Tone goes from classic, to rock/metal in the flip of the switch. I have not stopped playing this thing, and it has moved to my number one spot!! Check it out, I guarantee you will not be upset- this is a stage performer, or perfect for jamming/practicing.

Comments about Fender Jim Root Signature Model Telecaster Electric Guitar:

i bought this guitar new from a store, white one, and couldn't get it set up without buzz. turns out that the frets were popping out!! i had to take it to get fixed at a cost of $277 to me to make it playable.
per email from fender they "can't work with me" cause i didn't go to an "authorized service center" to be fixed! (i took it to the best repairman in town according to everyone out here!)
thanks fender for the not caring about your quality, or the people who buy your garbage! i will never buy another fender product again! and i would suggest that everyone else think twice about buying from them too!

Comments about Fender Jim Root Signature Model Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great. I have owned it for over a year and it still is the most fun to play of my collection. It may not have many features but it has amazing tone. The neck feels great and the pick ups with the wood choice is the best thing about this guitar. The EMG 81 in my opinion is the best metal pick up out there, passive or active. The EMG 60 is the hidden jem of this guitar. I have never heard or played a warmer pick up then the 60 with these wood choices. It has crushing tones for rhythms and has amazing quality for lead playing.

Comments about Fender Jim Root Signature Model Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This s a great guitar, another fine Fender product. This guitar sounds more aggressive than other "metal" guitars I have owned. Only one beef though, the nut is set up for a 9-42 string gauge. So if you play in a Drop tuning(like Slip Knot) and want to put heavy strings on the guitar you will have to have the nut filed and the guitar resetup. I would have thought a Jim Root guitar would have been set up for potential Drop tuning setups.
