The Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster Electric Guitar delivers pure Fender Strat tone, feel, and style with an extra kick of versatility.

The Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster Electric Guitar stays true to many of the original specs that put the Strat on the map in 1954, but also adds a few updated features that will satisfy modern-day players and vintage buffs alike. The Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster takes the legendary Strat sound and style up a few notches for searing hot tones and incredible sonic versatility.

The legendary 'comfort contour' alder body comes outfitted with a trio of over-wound, high-output Texas Special single-coil pickups that deliver those blistering hot Strat tones that are closely associated with SRV and other blues legends. The electronic schematic doesn't stop there. Fender has incorporated a versatile 6-position V6 rotary switch (disguised as the middle tone knob) that utilizes an onboard preamp to provide 6 distinct tone settings that can take you anywhere from a wiry single-coil snap to scorching hot lead tone. For even more versatility, the electronics also feature an S-1 Switch that's built into the volume knob. The S-1 Switch bypasses the preamp completely to send those pure, unadulterated Strat tones of the Texas Special pickups right into your amp.

For superb comfort and playability, the Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster sports a modern "C" maple neck, and is available with either a maple or a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard plays like a dream thanks to 22 medium jumbo frets and a modern, slightly flatter 9.5" radius. The flatter radius facilitates easier, cleaner string bending and faster action. The Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster can also be distinguished by the '70s-style large headstock shape.

A 4-ply aged white pearloid pickguard, aged white plastic control knobs, and aged white pickup covers add an old-school vibe to this modern day classic. Chrome hardware rounds out the package, and includes a vintage-style synchronized tremolo and a set of Standard cast/sealed tuners. Includes deluxe gig bag.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I just purchased this Deluxe Roadhouse Strat in Sonic Blue about a week ago at my local Sam Ash. I was completely blown away with every aspect of this instrument. First of all, the custom colors available. Vintage white or Sonic blue combined with the pearloid pick guards make this thing a work of art! The on line pictures do not do it justice. You really have to see one of these in person to truly appreciate it. The overall quality of build is right up there with many of the American made Fenders. Super smooth edges on the frets, amazing quality on the paint and clear coat. The tremolo and the modern sealed tuners do a fantastic job of keeping it in tune and intonation is fantastic right off the rack. The best part? The extreme versatility of this instrument. The standard 5-way switch with an added S-1 switch then to really blow you away, the 6-way "V-6" switch with a 9volt battery pre-amp allows you to find any sound you are looking for and a few you haven't heard on a Strat before. This guitar DOES IT ALL! Anything from clean surf guitar, SRV tone blues along with any classic to hard rock. Unless you play strictly death metal, you will never need another guitar. This really is a keeper. I know it comes with a really nice gig bag but this thing is so beautiful, it really does deserve it's own Fender tweed case which I purchased that same day! Oh yeah, the salesmen at Sam Ash worked out a pretty fair trade value for my Classic Vibe Telecaster I had. I loved that guitar but the versatility of this strat even allows you to get Telecaster tones from it and the thin C shaped 9.5 neck makes fretting those classical and jazz chords way less of a chore. This thing is a joy to play and is so addictive, it's hard to put down! Close your eyes and it's hard to believe this isn't American made. The great thing is you get this guitar for a fraction of the price! The only negative? Change the stock Fender strings. No big deal though. I'd recommend that on all Fenders made. Even the American ones. They make great guitars but their stock strings have a bad habit of buzzing.
