You are looking at a Fender Custom Shop 1951 Closet Classic Nocaster Electric Guitar Faded Vintage White, serial number R13182. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (7 lbs, 11 oz.)In 1950 Leo Fender introduced the game changing solid body electric guitar that was originally known as the Broadcaster. However, in early 1951, Fender had to change the guitars name because 'Broadkaster' was already legally licensed by the Gretsch Company for a line of drums. For a short-lived period, the factory workers just removed the “Broadcaster” decal from the headstock, leaving just the Fender logo with no model name, which is how the name 'Nocaster' came about. These guitars are extremely rare considering that they were only produced for a few months, and produced less then 500 of these guitars before Fender officially renamed it 'Telecaster'.
