Comments about Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH Electric Guitar:

I bought one used in black (and it was like new) with a good light RoadRunner case. Nice fret steel that take a shine and stays clean easily. The pickups are good to very good for a Mexico guitar. Prepare to get them adjusted and the polepieces as well (best left to a good setup guy with an ear). Mine has really good sustain and the bridge alone is plenty for leads and blues/rock songs. Both pickups are sweet and pretty together. Neck pickup lacks definition in the bass, but raise the polepieces to enhance the bass strings for more clarity.
It's the familiar feel of a Tele even with HBs and a backaward control plate, which is sorta cool! I like the body resonance, fretboard and neck feel and an external type jack plug.
If the saddle screws bother you with chafing your right hand, the real problem is that the neck need to be shimmed (2-3 string envelope paper thicknesses) at the rear of the pocket to get the correct angle. Then sink the screws until they barely are below the saddles. Adjust saddles to match the fretboard radius.
