The RODE NT1-A has become an industry standard delivering the warmth, extended dynamic range, clarity and high SPL capability usually only featured by some of the most expensive microphones.

So you’re on a budget but you need a microphone that sounds way more expensive than its affordable price tag? Well, look no further than the Rode NT1a.

Set in a tight cardioid pattern, the Rode NT1a embodies all the characteristics of a high-end, expensive studio microphone, but leave it to the fine folks at Rode to deliver outstanding quality in an affordable package.

The large 1” (25mm) capsule protected behind the sturdy wire-mesh grille has a gold-plated diaphragm. It exhibits extremely low self-noise (5dB), has a wide dynamic range and handles high SPL (137 dB), making it an excellent choice for a variety of miking applications. The internal capsule is shock-mounted within the mic itself, making handling or vibration noise minimal.

As part of Rode’s Complete Vocal Recording Solution Package, which includes the NT1a in a satiny nickel finish, a Rode premium-quality shockmount with integrated pop screen, a quality 20’ XLR mic cable, a mic dust cover and a Rode instructional DVD, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one-stop solution at this price.

With its wide dynamic range, silky warm characteristic, devastating good looks, super-quiet operation and complete package of useful accessories, the Rode NT1a Complete Vocal Recording Package is a great entry to the world of professional recording mics. Or just add it to your existing mic locker for another flavor… a tasty one at that!

Comments about RODE NT1A-P Condenser Microphone:

I've used this mic for over 10 years now, long before it came bundled with a heavy duty shockmount and pop filter. Now it even includes a cable! Regardless, this has been one useful and durable mic. I've used it on everything from vocals to guitar amps to percussion. Rode is a great a brand and using this and a couple other of their mics I've determined that they not only sound awesome but they're built solid. My favorite application for this mic by far is for recording dynamic female vocals. I find it always adds a warm touch and smooth yet present transients. If you need a good all around mic, this is one you should look into; I'm sure whatever you use it for, you'll be happy with the results.

Comments about RODE NT1A-P Condenser Microphone:

You'd be hard-pressed to find more bang for your buck than this Rode setup. You get a flexible microphone with class leading tone and features, AND everything you need to get rocking. If they bundled this with a boom stand and an interface, that's the only way you could improve on this as a starter setup. A+ This is a real hands on product review from Mike @ Sam Ash Margate.

Comments about RODE NT1A-P Condenser Microphone:

The RODE NT1-A is definitely an industry standard. 1, because they sound great, but 2, because they last a long time. The NT1-A has an extremely flat frequency response and a phenomenal/true sound quality.
When you get the NT1-A kit, it comes with everything that you need to get started with a condenser microphone whether it be recording vocals, voice overs, etc. You receive the shock mount, the pop shield, and the XLR cable (these items would cost you over $50 if you bought them separately). Plus, with a price under $230, it is one of the best/most cost-effective, quality condenser microphones on the market.
On top of all this, RODE microphones come with a 10 year warranty! I have a true appreciation for this, because a company that puts a 10 year warranty on their product means that they stand behind it. That being said, I would recommend this microphone to anyone.

Wow is this mic quiet!!! Besides that, there's not a whole lot to say other than it looks awesome, it has an amazing sound, warm lows, clean highs and prominant mids. If you're looking for a great radio or recording mic, consider saving your money and getting this Rode. Such an amazing mic at such an affordable price. Sometimes the pricetag isn't everything.

Comments about RODE NT1A-P Condenser Microphone:

So.. the NT1... it's been around for a while... and with good reason. There is not another mic out there... especially in this price range... that even TOUCHES this one in sound style and quality. It's always funny when pro studios keep a $200 mic around in case they can't find the sound on a $2000 mic... lol! Simply a classic... and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I am a Sam Ash Employee in Clearwater, FL... and I love this mic!

This is a good mic for home recording. It's quiet, clear, and comes with a shock mount/pop filter system and a mic cable--basically all the accessories you need except the mic stand! This is what I consider a general purpose mic and will sound good on pretty much any voice or instrument. For the price, nothing beats the NT1A.
