The HD 280 PRO are closed-back headphones designed for professional monitoring applications.

Well friends, we’ve finally arrived! No longer do affordable, professional headphones have to feel and sound affordable. The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are built well, feel comfortable, look stylish and most importantly, they sound simply phenomenal! Designed to last and fortified with some useful features, the sturdy yet comfy Sennheiser HD 280 Pros deliver a pro-quality listening experience at a reasonable price.

The collapsible, rotatable earcups fully enclose around the earlobe making for a snug, tight fit. These do a fantastic job of isolation, keeping extraneous noise out of the picture. Use them to track critical vocals while keeping out room sounds or fighting feedback. Drummers delight in their isolation as they play to the click track or pre-recorded mix and not feel hampered by the loud thwacking just below their ears. The backs are closed so as not to annoy others by keeping headphone leakage to a minimum. This also makes the HD 280 Pros a fine choice for DJs who demand quality on a night in, night out basis.

They’ve got a single-sided, coiled cable with 3.5 mm mini jack and locking 1/4" adapter so you can adapt to the input jacks around you. They sport a high 102 db SPL due to the powerful neodymium magnets. A high-quality coiled cable rounds out the list of features.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones have a frequency response of 8-25,000 Hz so you’ll hear everything in the mix and, along with your trusted studio monitors, be able to make the crucial, critical decisions that a professional mixer/artist or DJ needs to stay on top of their game. Everyone wins!

Great tracking headphone. Low noise and clear sound without certain frequency enhancements. Tend to become uncomfortable after extended listening.

Comments about Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphones:

I have not reviewed many headphones, although I have listened to plenty of them. Being my first pair of over the ear pro headphones I have to say that they sound quite excellent. There is a good balance between highs mids and lows, although they are lacking in deep lows wich is a good thing in my opinion, if I wanted cruddy bass muddying my music I would buy Beats by Dre, (something I never plan on doing). All in all these headphones sound fantastic and I couldn't be happier. One day I will demo other higher end headphones to see how they compare.

While i was shopping for headphones i told the store i need some good ones for mixing and recording and not worry about bleeding while recording. When i put them on i could not hear anything but the music playing on them, its definetly a bargain for the product.

Comments about Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphones:

These headphones are awesome, I got them for [$] with some leftover money from graduation. They sound clear, awesome, and there are so many different places you can hear the sound around you. Also, they block out other sound very well and you can hear things listening to songs that you would never hear in a $30 pair of headphones. I originally bought 'just to try it out' cause I could never imagine spending over $20 for headphones, but now I cant let these go, they are way too good!

You won't believe the fidelity from the HD280 Pro. Nice bottom and a sweet top end too. I was able to wear them for a few hours without ear fatigue. You need to give the HD-280 Pro Headphones a serious listen.
