Slowhand fans will love the tonally versatile signature Eric Clapton Stratocaster guitar.

Few great artists are as closely associated with the Fender Stratocaster as Eric Clapton.  His beloved “Blackie” Strat (which reportedly sold at auction for $995,000) was the model for the very first Fender Artist Signature Stratocaster. Now, imagine that Eric Clapton is so impressed with your playing that he offers you one of his current Strats for a tiny fraction of what Blackie cost.

Naturally, the latest version of the Clapton Signature Strat has been updated with two decades’ worth of advances in guitar technology. The first thing you’ll notice is the a trio of Fender's new Vintage Noiseless pickups. They’re built to give you true vintage Strat tones, minus the vintage hum, and that’s exactly what they do. But the Clapton Strat adds some unique Claptonesque touches that give this Stratocaster a sound unlike any other. Hidden inside are powerful active mid-boost (+25dB) and TBX circuits, designed to make the single-coils sound more like humbuckers—a key ingredient in the Clapton sound. This exclusive combination of pickups and circuitry make the Eric Clapton Strat one of the most tonefully versatile instruments in the Fender line.

A couple of other features contribute to this guitar’s Clapton-inspired uniqueness. The neck has a special soft "V" shape that Clapton specifically requested, because he loved the neck on his favorite Martin acoustic. You don’t see that on every Strat! Or this: the vintage synchronized tremolo bridge on the Clapton Stratocaster is “blocked” with a small piece of wood in the bridge cavity. Why? Clapton liked the tone and tuning stability of hardtail Strats and never used the tremolo.

How can you pass up the opportunity to own the Stratocaster Eric Clapton takes on tour?  You know you will love owning this guitar forever.  Includes a vintage tweed hardshell case, strap and cable.

Comments about Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Vintage Tweed Case:

I bought this from SamAsh after playing one at a local store but they didn't have it in red so I ordered one from SamAsh. I love this guitar but it needs to be played through a tube amp to get the most out of it. Sounds incredable through my Soldano SLO100. This definitly not your average strat. The 25db mid boost and the THX work great to change you tone alot with out having to to go over to your amp.

Comments about Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Vintage Tweed Case:

I got this guitar in NY a month ago, in Samash. I went there with a Jem on my mind and I got out of the store with this beauty in Olympic White, imagine why (I tried the Jem and it was a knockout, but a little bit expensive). I want to thank the salesman dude who was with me all the time when I was trying the guitars, I think his name was Rene or something like that. I compared this one with the American Standard (the dude was standing next to me while I was switching guitars with him) and I tell you this: the difference between a Clapton signature and an American Standard is huge, the pickups are sweet! Smoothly humless. I felt the V shaped neck way more confortable in comparison with the C shaped Standard neck. Bottom line: If you can spend the extra $500 to get this guitar just try it and you'll see what I'm talking about, you won't regret it.

Comments about Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Vintage Tweed Case:

After 40 years of playing music, and trying a wide variety of guitars, I finally found a guitar that makes me want to pick it up every night and play it. It seems that Fender spent some extra time on this guitar because of Clapton. The sustain is incredible. The guitar is a complete homage to Calpton, right down to the " Blocked Tremelo".....This is a future collectible......I am a happy man.....

Comments about Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Vintage Tweed Case:

This guitar is extremely versatile. The Strat sound is there so don't worry about that. The mid boost is very powerful. The adjustments on the guitar are incredible. I go to my amp less to develop different sounds. The neck is taking some getting use to. The special soft V is smaller than my other guitars but I am having no problems playing it.
