The HT-Club 40 is the ideal tube amp for the working musician for club sized venue. Sam Ash Direct has the guaranteed lowest price and fast free, shipping.

Equipped with 2 channels and 4 modes, the Blackstar HT Club 40 is the ideal gigging valve amp for club sized venues. The 40-Watt EL34 driven power amplifier has amazing punch and dynamics that will easily cut through in a full band situation. Switching to the ISF equipped overdrive channel accesses a further two modes – ‘classic crunch’ and ‘super saturated lead’.

The Blackstar HT Club 40 is powered by two EL34 power tubes and two ECC83 preamp tubes (which are a European-designated variation of the 12AX7s that are more familiar here in the States). The Clean and Overdrive Channels are footswitchable. The Clean has Volume and Tone controls with a voice switch for what the company describes as “boutique” and “modern” voicings. The Overdrive has Gain and Volume controls, a three-band EQ, Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature, and a voice switch that offers “classic” (tight and crunchy) and fuller-body voicings. The amp’s front control panel is rounded out with Master Volume and (digital) Reverb controls.

The patent-applied-for Infinite Shape Feature: “The ISF control works in conjunction with the Bass, Middle and Treble controls. It allows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. Fully counter-clockwise has a more American characteristic with a tight bottom-end and more aggressive middle, and fully clockwise has a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive.” The rear panel features a Speaker Emulated Output, a Dark/Light control for the Reverb, and an effects loop. The combo weighs in at 54 lbs.

Get your Blackstar HT Club 40 Combo Amp today from Sam Ash Direct and enjoy the confidence that comes from fast, free shipping, the guaranteed lowest price and our 45/60-day return/price protection policy.

Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I run the ASH ROCK rock group program out of the Indianapolis Sam Ash Learning Center. We currently have 18 active bands. As you can imagine, a guitar amp that will work for all of them is a lot to ask. We've tried many different amps in the ASH ROCK rehearsal room, and some have been better than others for the task at hand. Some of the key features we need are volume, tone, and ease of use. With only an hour per week for each band to do their thing, the amp we use must of course sound great and be heard above loud drums and a PA, but honestly it also has to be easy and quick for each different guitar player to dial in quickly. This amp definitely contains all these features. It had plenty of volume, but the tone and clarity stays even as the volume increases. It takes no time for each guitarist to dial in his or her tone and gain preferences, and the footswitch is as simple as can be...you're either clean or dirty and if you like you can add some reverb. Blackstar is a GREAT rock guitar amplifier. Now, how about some casters? Sucker's heavy...

Great modern sound with lots of power. Very warm sound that you get from tubes. It's a little heavy compared to solid state amps, but thats made up for in tone. This is a real hands on product review from Richard@ Sam Ash Miami

Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Great all around combo amp. Tone for days. Useable reverb.
Sound more like a sweet classic tube amp then anything else in that price range. Wish it had more clean channel tone options,
but surely gets the job done. This is a real hands on review from Joe@Sam Ash Huntington

I have used this amp to record my friend that plays guitar. Nothing but good things to say about this amp. One of the best amps in this price range. Boutique setting on the clean is amazing to me. It breaks up without killing you. Really like the tone of this amp. It actually has more gain than I expected. Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

As a salesman that has seen multitudes of amplifiers I have to say the Blackstar line has always impressed me. So much that I demoed this model to a bandmate & this is now his mainstay amp in TWO bands...A straight up rock band & a metal band. Highly suggested! This is a real hands on product review from Big Jim at Sam Ash New Haven.

The Blackstar Club 40 is a straight-forward tone monster. Whether you're looking for classic sparkling cleans or outrageous crunch the Club 40 delivers. True tube tone, this amp is plenty loud for whatever application you may have. Keep it in the studio or practice space or take it on the road as it's lightweight and road sturdy. Enjoy a classic sound from a contemporary manufacturer.

I really enjoy my blackstar club 40 amp. It has enough power for any size gig and small enough to take anywhere. The gain stage is excellent and it really projects. I am a staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music.

The Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp is an amazing tube amp for most situations! It has a great sound and packs quite a punch. At 40 watts it can be used at most venues that aren't too large. It will be loud enough for your bassist and guitarist to hear you without distorting your sound. It's also not too heavy so you won't break your back or your bank with this amp.
