The Gibson Explorer 120 Electric Guitar combines time-tested tonewoods, versatile pickups, and renowned Gibson USA craftsmanship with show stopping looks, superb playability, and sonic versatility to adapt to a wide variety of musical styles.

Celebrating 120 years of tradition and innovation, Gibson is pleased to introduce a creative re-think of the radical Explorer. Blending the unsurpassed craftsmanship of Gibson USA  with one of the most revolutionary designs to hit the music scene, the Gibson Explorer 120 offers show stopping looks, incredible tonal versatility and superb playability that will satisfy a wide variety of musical styles.

The iconic angular Explorer body is crafted from grade-A mahogany and dressed in your choice of a Heritage Cherry or Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer finish. For amazing sustain and superb playability, the Gibson Explorer 120 features a glued-in grade-A mahogany neck that's carved into a fast, slim profile, and carries a one-piece grade-A rosewood fingerboard that houses 22 frets over binding, dot inlays and a commemorative 120th Anniversary banner.

The Gibson Explorer 120 comes equipped with a pair of Alnico V BurstBucker Pro pickups to deliver vintage tones with modern performance. Built to the specs of original PAF humbuckers, these pickups feature mismatched coils for that classic PAF depth and bite. To tailor your sound to your personal preference, the pickups are routed through 2 Volume controls, a single Tone control and a 3-way Switchcraft toggle pickup selector.

As far as hardware goes, the Gibson Explorer 120 comes outfitted with a Tune-O-Matic bridge with Stopbar tailpiece and a set of MINI Grover kidney tuners with a 14:1 ratio. Comes with the full protection of a hardshell case.
