Comments about ESP LTD Vintage-214 Ash Bass:

I use the bass in my band. We play mostly pop-punk songs. You can get some killer tone from the neck pickup and it sounds even better if you mix in a little of the bridge pickup. The bridge pickup on it's own isn't great in my opinion, but I like a rumbling deep sounding bass. The neck is slim and very easy to play, much better than the fender precisions. You can preform fast bass lines as well as play chords. All the ESP/LTD products I have gotten in the past are well made durable instruments that will last even when used for gigs night after night, this bass included. The best part is the fact that it has a swamp ash body, which I think sounds better than alder, for the same price as the agathis and basswood Squiers. The only bass I would have gotten over this bass would have been a Schecter Model T since it has Seymour Duncan pickups, but it costs a lot more and you could change the pickups in this bass for much cheaper and have a lighter weight, brighter sounding bass.

Comments about ESP LTD Vintage-214 Ash Bass:

This is a Fender Killer. Better than any Mexican Fender bass. Great tone, huge frets for clear notes. Been playing for 10 years, owned a dozen basses, this one is the best. Bridge is massive, tuners are solid to very solid, solid, smooth and fast neck. Can't go wrong.
