Comments about ESP LTD TE-212 Electric Guitar:

I call myself a beginner at age 55 and this is my second guitar. It was purchased from Sam Ash online in Feb, 2014. I think this is a great guitar for the money and worth upgrading if you like. First of all, do not buy it thinking you are getting the telecaster sound. I like the tele body style, but I bought it for the neck -- U shaped and larger radius. Ironically, that is what I had a problem with. The buzzing was terrible out of the box but I thought no big deal as I was getting it set up anyway. A couple of weeks later, it was back but different strings this time. The luthier adjusted the neck for free but seemed to think the finger board was slightly warped and I should consider warranty repair with ESP. I did not do this. Buzzing came back, went to a different luthier and it was better but the buzzing returned. It was past 30 days so I could not exchange it with Sam Ash. After contacting ESP multiple times with no response via their website, I complained in the ESP site forum and someone there noticed and reached out to me. I sent the guitar to ESP in California and they had it for about 4 (?) weeks. By the way, save receipts, shipping box and register your guitar online! Glad I did. ESP replaced the neck -- I was advised the frets were an issue and it was easier for them to put a new neck on it. The other reviewer said the pickups are a bit weak -- maybe so but I really would not know as I practice in my apartment. I would have given the guitar 5 stars if not for the neck issue. Otherwise, I am glad I picked it for the neck -- feels like a good fit for me. Good looking too! The tuners seem middle of the pack but I will consider locking tuners down the road.

Comments about ESP LTD TE-212 Electric Guitar:

I got the TE-212 BLK because I wanted a Tele style guitar & ESP/LTD had one that suited my likes plus the price was right. It plays very well. The only issue I have is with the pickups. They are weak for my standards. I mostly play Hard Rock along with other styles. I will replace them with a bridge Hot Rail & neck '59. Everything else about the guitar is good. If you are wondering if this guitar is good enough, it is. It's worth the price.
