Comments about ESP LTD SC-608 Stephen Carpenter Baritone 8-String Electric Guitar:

I have been a fan of Stephen and the Deftones since their inception in the mid-90s. When his first six-string ESP model came out I bought it, and I now own two from that era. They are some of the best insturments I own and the design and specs are amazing.

Over the years he has moved from six, seven and now eight string behemoths. These guitars carry the same build quality and are the only 8 string guitar I have ever been able to pick up and play. I am a 6 string player who always found most 8 strings very cumbersome, this one seems to have gotten it right.

ESP and Stephen do it again and you won't be disappointed!

Comments about ESP LTD SC-608 Stephen Carpenter Baritone 8-String Electric Guitar:

This thing doesn't look funny like most 8 strings, and plays well, can't go wrong with emg's. I added a second 9v for more headroom, easy mod. I also replaced the nut with a black water buffalo horn nut for added sustain/string transfer and improved action. This this sustains very well and has a little improvement in tone. I can make these nuts for anyone for this guitar. contact my nickname its my email

Comments about ESP LTD SC-608 Stephen Carpenter Baritone 8-String Electric Guitar:

This is by far the best 8 string i have ever played, i own a ibanez 8 string and i have to say im kicking my self now for not waiting and trying this one out first. The most common problem with people when the get a 8string guitar is they have a hard time getting use to the thickness of the neck, especially past the 12th fret up to the 24th. There is no problem here it is very easy to move up due to the neck thru. The sound of the emg's cannot be matched i use emg pickups in most of my guitars and soon all because of there reliability and tone. The 808's are the most agressive pickup i have ever used. all around this guitar is the best 8 sting.
