Comments about ESP LTD H-351NT Standard Electric Guitar:

I bought it for a lightweight and fast playing solid guitar with set neck and the EMG active pickups (9v battery). It's well built (China) and finished with a smokey red finish and black tint chromed hardware. Mine was barely used and came in the form-fit ESP case (nicely lined).
The fretboard and neck profile are really comfortable and fast. Frets are at least medium jumbos and nicely smoothed ends and polished to a shine. Tuners are smooth and positive. Delrin nut is adequate and easy to file (nut slots), but an unbleached one would be an improvement.

I play single coils and a Washburn RX50 which is a screaming quality deal in every way and sounds beautiful stock and is about $250 or less! I have owned literally dozens of guitars over the years (I own 15 right now!) and the ESP reviewed here is a lot of guitar used for about $400. The pickups are better suited to a pedal or modelling amp. They are not 'pretty' like alnico humbuckers, but are loud and clear. This sort of guitar is for overdriven sound and metal. But it is priced well and is clearly built well.
Be prepared to get a setup (adjustment of the nut slots, neck relief, bridge height by a knowledgeable person).
