Made to look and sound just like George Lynch's well-worn axe and now available in an LTD edition, the GL-256 is ready to take 'em all on! The body is made from alder, with a solid maple neck and "broken-in" maple fingerboard. A covered LH-150 humbucker at the bridge and a pair of LS-120 single coils combine to give you the sound that George has been famous for. It also sports a vintage-style tremolo for every solo and divebomb you can throw at it. Additional features include die-cast tuners and nickel hardware. Case not included.

Comments about ESP LTD GL-256 George Lynch Electric Guitar:

Didnt know they were decals!! Errg! Oh well it sounds great. Had to round the neck edges and file down the edges of the frets to really break it in. But now it plays true vintage. Ordered a Gotah bridge that I will drop in to give it some more sustain. Could replace my 2002 modded american strat it I'm not careful. put a cool rails in the neck, sounds a little fuller with no hum. its coming together nicely.

Comments about ESP LTD GL-256 George Lynch Electric Guitar:

This is one that surprised me. I went to my fave shop to pick up something completely different, but the GL-256 caught my eye. Being a huge fan of ESP (this is my 12th!) I jsut had to try it out. The distressed look is lacking a bit, the wear is too smooth and the pickguard and hardware don't carry through with the look. Nonetheless, it is an attention grabber, and looks quite genuine on stage. The playability is typical ESP. A slight neck adjustment yielded a nearly flat neck with low action and a light touch. Nice. The ESP pickups have been a pleasant surprise as well. The bridge 'bucker has a full, deep snarl that still allows the highs through, making for a well defined sound. The single coils could have come off a good Strat, clear and bell like with a smokey grind when pushed hard. Overall this one has become my main 'rockin' blues' axe, and has the versatility to handle most other genres. It's simply a whole lot of fun play, looks cool, and delivers the goods. Another hit from ESP.
