Tone, playability, reliability and quality are what you look for in a good instrument. Why not demand these features from your strings? Ernie Ball strings are made from the finest materials so you get quality and consistency in every set. The specially tempered high carbon steel core wire's hexagonal shape ensures the wrap wire is securely held in place through the length of the string. Precision crafted Swiss brass ball ends are attached with a triple lock twist.

Ernie Ball is the pioneer of Rock and Roll guitar strings. Since setting the industry standard for electric guitar strings, the list of Slinky users has grown to include the likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai and Slash. If you like tone, you'll like Slinkys!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Super Light Slinky Electric Guitar Strings (9-42):

i have been playing guitar for over 3 years now, and searched high and low for good quality strings but when i tried super slinkys on my SG, i haven't heard a better tone and sound from any other strings I've used on my guitar. Super Slinkys have had the longest life-span on my guitar without the need of replacement strings, or string cleaning cloths. i still use Super Slinky Stings today, and i have never been happier with the crisp and clean sound that comes from my guitar.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Super Light Slinky Electric Guitar Strings (9-42):

I've used this particular string set (9-42) for the last 45 years. I would not still use them if they weren't the best. Aside from durability, consistency of manufacture, tone, etc, they are also easier on fret wear than some other makes.
I have tried many brands of strings over the years, (Dean Markley, Rotosound, DiAdario, Gibson, etc), and most will go dead or break over a weekend. I play professionally (clubs) and change strings frequently (sometimes twice a week), and I have never found anything better than EB's. Most of my guitars have been Stratocasters, and I currently play a '94 G&L Legacy, loaded with Lace Sensors, and tuned down a half step.
To get more life from them, just wipe down frequently. I usually wipe each individual string with Finger Ease before putting the guitar away.
And if you want to use drop-D tuning, or lower, just go to one of the heavier gauges. You can't go wrong here.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Super Light Slinky Electric Guitar Strings (9-42):

These are the basic, straight ahead guitar strings. They're great for everything. I go through these things sorta quick, but I still definitely feel like I get my money's worth. I've tried other brands, and I always come back to Ernie Ball. There's a reason these strings are at the top of the game.

I use these strings on a Washburn x10 and a Gretsch Projet. If you want Classic Rock to rock tonality, these are the best! There's even a list of Artists on the back of each pack that play with Ernie Ball Strings so you find the sound your looking for!

I play guitar alot. At least a couple hours a day, plus I'm in a band so I know what I'm talkin about when I say these strings are really good. They have a good feel to them and dont hurt your fingers like some strings do. Also, they're really good strings for pinch harmonics and vibretos. Bottom line: These strings rock, so buy yourself a set!!
