Tone, playability, reliability and quality are what you look for in a good instrument. Why not demand these features from your strings? Ernie Ball strings are made from the finest materials so you get quality and consistency in every set. The specially tempered high carbon steel core wire's hexagonal shape ensures the wrap wire is securely held in place through the length of the string. Precision crafted Swiss brass ball ends are attached with a triple lock twist.

Ernie Ball is the pioneer of Rock and Roll guitar strings. Since setting the industry standard for electric guitar strings, the list of Slinky users has grown to include the likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai and Slash. If you like tone, you'll like Slinkys!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2222 Hybrid Slinky Electric Guitar Strings (9-46):

OK, so I am new to guitar but I have been around them for many years. I have been, for six months or so , trying to find strings I like to put on my Am Strat Deluxe HSS. I have found some I like and some I took off in a few days. Twice I have tried the Ernie Ball strings (2 different gauges) and been disappointed both times. This last time, with these 9s, I took them off the next day. The sound was horrible. There was no sweetness, sustain, musicality. Maybe if you play a very hard rocking sound where certain specifics are needed, but not the characteristics I mentioned, then maybe they are worth a try because they do seem to stay in tune well, but I rather spend 2 or 3 times as much on strings that sound good, then buy these. Currently I am using Pyramid, but there are others I like ... just not these.
