From its inception in 1952, the Les Paul has combined stunning elegance with maximum playability and tone. Sporting a solid mahogany body and a stunning maple top, the Les Paul Standard has caught many an eye while attracting the ears of guitarists everywhere.  All of the style and tone that made the Les Paul Standard an iconic instrument is available here, at an extremely affordable price. The Epiphone Les Paul PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar continues the Les Paul legend and tradition of quality and performance that is stronger than ever after 6 decades.

To preserve the tradition of unsurpassed tone, the Les Paul PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar is outfitted with a pair of ProBucker humbucking pickups. These Alnico II equipped pickups deliver the sounds of decades past, yet capable of the most up to the minute tones that will satisfy the demand of modern players. The electronics are completed by the traditional layout of two separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. The tone controls feature a push/pull coil-tapping system to further expand the tonal versatility of this Les Paul, along with a three-way switch.

A mahogany neck is carved to a comfortably slim tapered 60s style profile. The neck is capped with 22 medium jumbo frets, a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, and a radius of 12" for easy playability and smooth effortless string-bending. Case not included.

What a steal!

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

Heres a guitar I can stand behind. The fact that it actually has a maple top and alnico pickups should be enough. But the fact that it plays amazing and sounds just as good as it looks blows me away. The neck is very comfortable and the top is just stunning. For being under $700 this guitar should be illegal.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

The finish and care taken on this guitar is similar to that of guitars close to double the price. Furthermore, the ability to coil tap the humbuckers to achieve a single coil sound at this price point makes the guitar arguably more versatile than more expensive counterparts. The neck is great, and feels super accessible in terms of playability. Great guitar.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

This guitar offers a lot of value for the money. It provides the traditional Les Paul tonewood combination of a maple cap on mahogany body. The plus flame top is a beautiful complement to the tone of the guitar. The Les Paul has always been known as a versatile instrument, and this one is even more so due to the coil splitting feature. This guitar is an excellent choice for any guitar player looking for a quality instrument at an affordable price.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

The Les Paul guitar is synonymous with distorted rock guitar solo virtuosity and is still considered a Holy Grail among guitarists seeking a solo voice. Since Gibson established its exclusive Epiphone factory in Qingdao, China, their QC has been incredible. The Epi Les Paul Standard Plus Top Pro is a perfect example. With a flamed maple cap on a mahogany body, a slimmer, 60's profile neck (unlike the chunkier '58), Grover tuners for stability and their new ProBucker pickups, which deliver much of the punch, growl and breadth of the vintage PAF humbuckers of the past. An excellent Les Paul for all applications where the Gibson sound might be required but with a more budget friendly price tag, the Epi Les Paul is equally at home with classic rock, jazz, R & B, blues, and even with P&W. I love it

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar 3 weeks ago. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with it. My main guitar is a Clapton signature Strat. The Les Paul compares very favorably at 1/3 the price. I'd played a Gibson LP Custom in the early 80s and wanted to get another but not willing to pay $5k and upwards. The Epiphone version was the right price so I got it. I find the tone to be wonderful. The pickup tapping offers a range from the full Jimmy Page humbucker drive to a sweet single coil sound. Better yet I am currently in love with the lead pickup on dual with the rhythm on single coil and the switch in the middle position. I respectfully disagree with the earlier comment that you won't hear a difference when splitting - the tone and volume are both significantly different.

Last but not least, I love how it plays. Out of the box, the strings were a little high. and it comes with 10s. I haven't replaced the strings with 9s yet, but was able to lower the strings considerably with no buzz. Sweet.
