Nice but Hard!

from Fremont, CA

About Me Experienced

  • Great Pre-amp
  • Handy Built-in Tuner
  • Rich Sound
  • Stays In Tune

  • "buzzes" On Several Cords
  • Hard To Play

Best Uses

Comments about Epiphone EF500RCCE Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I find this guitar difficult to play because one has to push too hard on the string, vs. other brands such as Takamine or Taylor.
It also "buzzes" on several strings past the 4th fret,
Perhaps is it a good play for more experienced musicians than I am.

Comments about Epiphone EF500RCCE Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This beautiful acoustic electric compares favorably with acoustic electrics costing twice as much. ESonic2 system is by Shadow Electronics and provides a lot of flexibility. I was considering a Taylor 214CE which cost $200 more and is not all solid wood. My guitar advisor at Sam Ash's remarkable Huntington, LI store suggested that I audition this one, with its solid cedar top and solid rosewood back and sides. I did and it was no contest. Further this Shadow electronic system is definitely superior to Taylor's. The people at Sam Ash know their business and I would not go anywhere else for instruments and amps.
