Incredible dreadnought sound and beauty in a 12-string!

The Epiphone DR-212 is a true 12-string acoustic guitar with the big sound and fine engineering you expect from Epiphone. The DR-212 is not just a dreadnought with 6 extra strings. Epiphone designed the DR-212 to take the stress of extra strings and not just support the Spruce top but provide the proper bracing so what you hear is a balanced, cutting, and attention-getting tone. The 12-string dreadnought has often been thought of as the classic-go to guitar for blues, folk, rock, country, and everything in-between.

Comments about Epiphone DR-212 12-string Acoustic Guitar:

I picked up the Epiphone Dr-212 yesterday from Sam Ash and I was pretty shocked when I got it home and played it. It looks great, sounds amazing, and has a great feel when playing. The value in this guitar is awesome for the price. If you are beginner, intermediate, or even very experienced guitar player this guitar should do for you.

Comments about Epiphone DR-212 12-string Acoustic Guitar:

An unbelieveable guitar at this price. When I lifted it off the shelf I could see the fit and finish was quite good--upon a closer inspection it still looked good. Started strumming and was surprised with the sound. Great sustain. And the price--WOW! Buy a set of Martin light guage srings and the Sam Ash stringing program. They'll even adjust the action. I had mine adjusted for tuning in D as 12 strings put lots of stress on the bridge.

Comments about Epiphone DR-212 12-string Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this 12 string Epi to replace a K-tone 12 string acoustic electric I had purchased on [@] for about $35 less( a piece of junk with a fretboard as flat as a planered 2"x2" furing strip that was painful to play and went from a flat top body to an archtop--the body top warped up raising the strings up off the fret board , but the electrics were nice ) ,do yourself a favor and don't buy a K-tone unless you want to go Pete Townsend on it . Now the GOOD NEWS ! The DR212 plays great , has held up well on oops aw frick accidents ,tone is great , stays in tune pretty good for not having Grovers . I hang it above my lazyboy so it is handy , and I've got where I play it more than my teleacoustic or my electrics . A big plus is when I learn on it , it makes it that much better when I do go 6 stringin' . The ringing sounds of a 12 string can be a great alternative to mandolins and banjos in a performance . I do wish it had electrics , but maybe later I might install some , or find a more controlable add on pick-up than my Dean MArkley soundhole pick-up . The beauty of an Epiphone is if you do modify it , its not like destroying a collectors item Gibby , Martin , Taylor ect. and you still got a decent guitar ! Good for campfire jams , I have played it at memorial services , and even makes some 6 string songs sound new and better . I highly suggest this guitar if you want a 12 string and don't have a barrel of cash . Also my local SAM ASH had a great price on it and was extremely helpful .

Comments about Epiphone DR-212 12-string Acoustic Guitar:

[...] I can sum it up in 3 words: I was flabbergasted. I rarely ever play a 12 so I wasn't going to spend much on one. Cosmetically, the guitar was perfect. The action out-of-box was dead on. No buzz, the tone is good(I'm not thrilled with Epiphone's chioce of strings)The playability is addictive & I still cant believe how inexpensive this guitar was versus the quality. I own 2 other epi acoustics that have been heavily played, a masterbuilt & a dove, so I'm confident about the durability of this one.

Comments about Epiphone DR-212 12-string Acoustic Guitar:

I tried some other comparative but higher priced 12 strings. I like this on a lot. Nicely priced. The strings that were included are not duds as well.

I hadn't realized how much fun a 12 string could be.
