Comments about On-Stage Xcg4 Single Guitar Stand:

This is a cheap guitar stand the rubber off the neck comes off now and then. The rivets on the legs that swing close over time will brake.

Make believe guitar stand

Comments about On-Stage Xcg4 Single Guitar Stand:

Immediately after putting it together, I placed a GIbson SG, not the heaviest guitar, on it and the U-shaped rubber coated piece that supports the guitar neck fell off. Fortunately I did not let the guitar fall, since the guitar's neck is thin and made of mohogany, which is not a strong wood. How much force is applied by a guitar neck? When I looked at the broken piece, I saw there was almost no weld. I am surprised that it did not break when it was originally packaged. I am pleased that SAM ASH did accept it back at no cost to me and let me put the cost toward another brand that is doing the job fine.

Own two of these stands. I find them adequate for my needs. Easy to assemble, light and stable. Would not use it on stage, but fine for home use.

Comments about On-Stage Xcg4 Single Guitar Stand:

I live in Delaware and drove 40 miles to the Cherry Hill, NJ Sam Ash store to purchase an acoustic guitar. I mistakenly asked for the "cheapest stand" and was given the XCG4. Later than evening (and 40 miles back home) I found to my great dismay that the vertical shaft screwed in crooked, rendering the stand completely unusable. As such, I do not recommend this bargain product, and suggest one save a lot of heart break and buy a quality stand for a little more cash, or request a salesperson assemble the product in store before making a purchase.

Well, this stand is good, it holds my guitar and all but... The strap that's supposed to aid in holding the guitar broke. [...] I mean, if you want to put on such a bad strap just take it off and cut the cost a couple bucks, That's to you, On Stage. Disappointed.

Comments about On-Stage Xcg4 Single Guitar Stand:

I bought this stand at my local Sam Ash store on clearance. After assembly, I tried to set my VMNTX on it and the fins went straight to the floor. Luckily it didn't wasn't damaged. I was shocked to see this stand as one of the recommended accessories for the VMNT and VMNTX guitars, but then again, the gig bag they recommended didn't fit, either. I still gave it 3 stars because it fit my Stratocaster perfectly.

Comments about On-Stage Xcg4 Single Guitar Stand:

Wow, was I upset when I unpacked these stands. I brought 2 brand new stands home to pair with my other 2 I had previously purchased some time ago. At first I was pleasantly surprised by the rubber fastener that secures the guitar neck into the "C" at the top of the stand. My older On Stage stands didn't have that so I used thick rubber bands. Then I became upset.I folded open the three legs of the tripod and set it down. I IMMEDIATELY realized how unstable this stand was even without putting my guitar in it. The problem is that the rear leg is only 4 inches long. My older On Stage stands have a 6 inch leg in the rear providing much more stability. You wouldn't think 2 inches make a big deal but it does. I'm not taking any chances with my gear and taking them back for refund. For [$]it is what it is I mean its a stand and nothing fabulous. Man do I wish On Stage kept the 6 inch leg, however. What a difference it would make. I guess 2 inches of aluminum multiplied by thousands of units equals a savings for manufacturing. But it won't save my guitar if it gets bumped.

Comments about On-Stage Xcg4 Single Guitar Stand:

It was an easy set up, even though it did not include instruction. I'm sure you can figure out how to work the stand. But other than that, it's a pretty sturdy stand that you can adjust the height of the guitar, and protect the bottom of wit foam bars. Overall 3 outa 5!
