Roundwound Nickel-Plated Steel Passion, Power and Performance. The Dynamite Alloy Boomers continue to be the standard to play by. The bright, long-lasting tone continues to be THE power string. Extra core strength provides durability while the nickel plating babies your frets. GHS strings are the music industry's choice whether you want a fat, bright tone, or a bluesy, warm & mellow tone. Before they leave the shop, each string is meticulously inspected by hand by quality assurance people.

Comments about Ghs M3045 Medium Boomers Electric Bass 4 String Set (45-105):

I got these strings a few months ago and my hand started to break out in open sores. The reason for that was because i am highly allergic to nickel. If you look at the specifications these strings are nickel plated. Now both my hands are red and bloody all the time. Thanks GHS, you guys are awesome!
    Not really, you suck.

Comments about Ghs M3045 Medium Boomers Electric Bass 4 String Set (45-105):

I have used several different brands over my 30+ years of bass playing, I always come back to Boomers. Strings can be a very subjective choice, I like the overall tone, ease of tuning, and set to set consistency. For your reference I'm a Fender man who plays a wide variaty of styles.

Comments about Ghs M3045 Medium Boomers Electric Bass 4 String Set (45-105):

Well, I bought the GHS bass boomers from [...] under reccomendation from the salesman. I was aiming for the Flea signature ones, but these strings were apparently the same exact thing wihtout the name. So, after putting them on, the tone was absolutely great. The strings had this tough, hard, in-your-face tone. Funk and Hard Rock at the same time. I said, worth every penny. So, after about a month, playing 5-6 times a week, these strings just absolutely went flat, the tone was no different than the tone of the strings I started with (Fender Jazz Bass strings that came with bass). The only differnece was that they were a bit thicker and the slap on them was better. After another month, they were gone. The beautiful tone that they started with had completely faded. The slap is still okay, but dead compared to the original. If you want strings for a concert, put them on soon before. They wont last. If I had the time and money to change my strings every few weeks, I'd stick with these, but other than that. Im never buying them again. If you want quality and durability, these are not the strings for you.
