Comments about Hartke HSB-545 5-String Bass, Light, (45-130):

Picked these up because of the price but I don't like the sound at all for my style of playing. When slapping the sound is good. When popping its just not bright enough and fast fingerstyle riffs arn't nearly as clear and bright as stainless steel strings. If I was just keeping the low end they would be ok. Not fun to play at all.

Comments about Hartke HSB-545 5-String Bass, Light, (45-130):

I seen these at one of sam ash's stores and thought for the price they would be worth checking out so i bought a set. I have had them on my ltd for about 2 months now and still sound as good as when they went on. i play my bass almost evey day, have practie twice a week and gig's...plus i used them in the studio. so these strings get plenty of use and hold there tone great. i dont live near a sam ash so i was glad to see i could order of there website. it's really hard to find cheap 5 string bass strings that are of decent quality. Sound just as good as the exlixers i had on it, may not last as long but a fraction of the price.
