Make all of your rockabilly, blues-rock, and/or shoegazer dream rock fantasies come to life with the Godin 5th Avenue Uptown GT Archtop Hollow Body Electric Guitar with Bigsby Tremolo.

Nominated "Best Electric Guitar" at the 2011 Music & Sound awards, the versatile Godin 5th Avenue Uptown GT offers players a North American-made, Bigsby-equipped archtop guitar at a more modest price point. The top, back and sides of this rockin' archtop cutaway are crafted from Canadian wild cherry, with the exception of the Trans Red model that sports a beautiful flame maple top with a Canadian wild cherry foundation. The molded arched top sports two classic f-holes, a black Godin pickguard and a beautiful custom polished Gloss finish while the sides and molded arched back are finished in semi-gloss. Cream binding on the body and contoured high-gloss headstock provides an elegant aesthetic touch. The neck is carved from Silver leaf maple and capped with a 16"-radius ebony fingerboard with 21 frets and dot inlays.

Whether you play jazz, fusion, rockabilly or hard blues-rock, the Godin 5th Avenue Uptown GT is sure to satisfy all of your sonic cravings with a pair of Custom Godin Humbucker pickups. The no-nonsense controls consist of a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch and simplistic single volume & tone controls for on the fly tonal tailoring. The Bigsby tremolo is paired with a roller saddle adjustable bridge featuring a Tusq base by Graphtech and a set of high-ratio tuning machines to keep this guitar in tune even after the most extreme vibrato effect. Assorted color options. Includes revolutionary 5th Avenue archtop TRIC case.

Comments about Godin 5th Avenue Uptown GT Archtop Hollow Body Electric Guitar:

This Godin 5th Avenue Uptown GT Archtop Hollow Body Electric Guitar is out of this world. Godin's quality control is fantastic, and every time I play one of these, it blows my mind thinking about how they are able to make such a great instrument at such an affordable price range. The pickups are very warm and smooth, and the woods used compliments this perfectly.

This is a hands on review from store 57.
