Gretsch g5420tg limited edition

from Palm Coast, Fl.

Recived this guitar only 2 days ago, and it is a thing of beauty. Flawless finish and set up perfectly. The one thing I was not aware of, since this is my first Gretsch, is that the individual volume pots are useless and function like on/off switch. Back off the volume just a little on either pickup and the volume is almost not there. Leave them on full and use the master volume and all is well. Tone works okay also.
This isn't a one off situation, if you do some research online, you'll see it has been like this for sometime.
If you have more modern day Gretschs, you already know this.
The guitar sounds great, plays beautifully, and is a thing of beauty, but if you're accustomed to Fender or Gibson volume pots, this is different. If it works for you, it's a great guitar. I'm not sure it's for me. Just a HEADS-UP!
