This is the guitar that Tom Chapin played on "Make a Wish." Richie Valens played this guitar.

Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar with Hardshell Case:

I have been playing guitar since the early '60s. I've owned a sackful of acoustics and electrics - American Guild and Gibson acoustics included. If you close your eyes and play this guitar, it sounds and feels great. Then open your eyes and realize you're saving two grand over the American version and you're sold! I didn't want to re-mortgage my house to buy an acoustic guitar and then be afraid to take it anywhere or play it hard. This one does everything I need it to do, sounds great, and looks good doing it. Even comes with a hardshell case to protect it. At my age and experience level, I don't feel the need to impress wankers with how much I spent on my guitar - I just need something that delivers tone and playability and is built to last. Over the past 2 years this guitar has been just that. Stays in tune great, I might add - often a problem with less expensive guitars. Get one today - you won't regret it!

Cordoba Music Group ("CMG") warrants this Guild instrument to be  free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, except that pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, cases and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser when this instrument is purchased from an Authorized Guild Dealer and is subject to the limitations set forth herein.

Defective components that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced (at CMG's discretion) without charge. Remedies beyond normal service repair of any Guild instrument require both an evaluation and confirmation of the defect and a direct recommendation to CMG from an Authorized CMG Service Center for alternative considerations.
