A Deluxe Take on a Taylor Favorite: The Taylor 210ce-DLX Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar.

The back and sides of the 210ce-DLX Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar are crafted from layered Indian rosewood and paired with a solid Sitka spruce soundboard, just as the standard 210ce, but features a full-gloss body and a matching inner veneer  to cater to this guitar's upscale appearance (the standard 210ce has a satin finished back/gloss top). Tonally, rosewood laminate and Sitka spruce give the 210ce Deluxe it's clear, well-balanced tonality across the entire spectrum with a massive acoustic voice imparted by the dreadnought body. The Taylor dreadnought body style is the ideal shape for flatpickers and strummers--refined for the modern era. This body style is designed  to deliver incredible tone for guitarists with a hard picking attack and produces a deep low end with driving rhythms, allowing the guitar to maintain it's overall tonal balance while keeping the low end from getting “muddy”.  On top of it all, the body of the 210ce-DLX Deluxe features white binding and a smooth-lined venetian cutaway for enhanced accessibility to those higher frets. The sapele neck on the Taylor 210ce-DLX Deluxe is topped with an ebony fingerboard and features beautiful small diamond inlays as opposed to the dot inlays used on the standard 210ce.

Typically, the 200 Series features the Taylor ES-T electronics, but the 210ce-DLX comes fully equipped with the top-of-the-line Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2), generally reserved for the higher end Taylor models.

This attractive deluxe package is completed by a Taylor standard hardshell case (rather then the hardbag included with the standard 200 series acoustics) to provide this 210ce-DLX with superior protection.

Comments about Taylor 210ce-DLX Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been looking for a guitar that has excellent touch, low action and great sound. My two reference guitars are a Martin D-40 I have had for about 7 years, and a Mitchel 100 (this is an inexpensive guitar). I was attracted to the better action on Taylor guitars, and particularly to the amplified sound having stronger highs.

When I started looking, I was not aware of the DLX series. for a couple hundred extra $, you get a rosewood body, that looks dramatically better than the standard series. I also found the sound more crisp than the higher priced series. I liked the amplified sound in the store, but have not experimented with it much so I currently play mostly unplugged. I love this guitar and play 30-60 minutes every day. Every time I pick it up, I am amazed how nice it is.
