Based off of the revolutionary "Slap-Top" design, the Turbo Slap-Top Cajon delivers a larger sound with added warmth, projection, and resonance.

The Turbo Slap-Top Cajon was designed to bring the playing surface closer to the player. This ergonomic design makes it easy to sit there and play for hours on end, in complete comfort. This also helps project the sound of the cajon out into the audience. This model is slightly larger than the regular Slap-Top Cajon, this gives you added resonance, volume, and low-end. This model also features snares equipped on both sides, giving you a sharp, crispy attack that perfectly mimicks the articulation and response of a snare drum.

Comments about Meinl Turbo Slap-Top Cajon:

Meinl's Turbo Slap-Top Cajon is a great spin on the classic instrument. What Meinl did was create a cajon that allows the user to play it sitting straight up, rather than hunched over, while still maintaining the cajon timbre and even providing a better playing surface. One thing I really like about this cajon is that the snare zones are on the sides of the instrument, allowing you to play bass and high pitched notes without the sound of the snares on every hit. Another cool feature is that Meinl has placed the ports on the front of the instrument which projects more of the sound out to the audience and not behind the player. The Turbo Slap-Top also features rubber feet to protect the bottom when setting it on the floor and foam cushions on the areas that rest on top of your legs. The cajon is solid and does not feel poorly made at all, and has a nice colorway of browns with a natural wood look on the playing surface.

Comments about Meinl Turbo Slap-Top Cajon:

You've probably never seen a Cajon like this before! The new MEINL Turbo Slap-Top Cajon is a revolutionary instrument designed to bring the striking surface up nearer to the player. With this more comfortable design creates a more upright playing style and a sound that projects loud and forward into your audience. It's constructed of Eco-friendly, medium density fiberboard and features a Walnut frontplate. The Meinl Turbo Slap-Top Cajon is constructed with the same high quality materials and craftsmanship as there range of traditional cajons but however incorporates a design twist. Re-designed to accommodate an ergonomic shape and size allowing the cajon to be played sat down resting on the top of your legs and played horizontally and also features forward facing sound holes for optimized sound projection and a set of snares at both ends.

I play a lot of gigs on the cajon, usually accompanying acoustic guitarists. This thing is so cool becasue you get all the great cajon tone, without having to break your bank or your back!!!
