Comments about Wuhan Cymbals WUTBSU Traditional Cymbal Set with Free 10" Splash:

I'm no pro, and this is really the first set of cymbal I've ever owned, but it's AMAZING. The thing is that it sounded just about alright (especially for the price) for the first 3-4 months, although the ride even kind of sucked. It washed way too loudly, even when I was riding relatively softly, and the bell had much the same effect. I used it as a crash for 3-4 months and then found out that its sound as a ride completely changed and got almost everything I was looking for in a ride. It's still crashable, the stick articulation is terrific, and the bell cuts through everything.

The crash and splash are just really great and bright, but they took a few months of usage to get that sound. They started off a bit darker.

The hats are incredible (after breaking in) as well. They've got a very clear and dark note when played open all the way, and it can work incredibly well for hard rock and metal settings. I like to play a bit more with the pedal, though, and these cymbals have so much character I can't bear to keep them at any one state for too long.

Ultimately, I don't think there's anything out there that comes anywhere near this pack for this price. It's a steal when you realize single cymbals go for more than this whole pack's price.

Comments about Wuhan Cymbals WUTBSU Traditional Cymbal Set with Free 10" Splash:

I was wowed by the online videos of these cymbals and how they were b20 hammered bronze and very cheap, so i ordered a set with my drum set, right away the free bag had a tear in it, acually a couple rips, so its not a gig bag for sure. I got my mom to sew them up...sound wise, they are LOUD the ride crashes very nicely, its a crash/ride for sure, the 16' crash is loud and dark, the hats are dark as well, but they dont describe top or bottom cymbal so i kinda weighed them in my hands and took a magic marker to the underside. the little splash is ok, ive heard older wuhan splashes that were really nice, maybe the metal needs to age. overall theyre good quality for a cheap price, i think theyre a little too loud, even with my rock band im in i cant go nuts or i wont hear anyone else, but for jazz its got that dark zildjian K sound and sensitivity.
