Comments about Groove Percussion DK120WRB 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Hardware:

A great kit at an incredibly low price. Perfect for your beginner players, as well as intermediate drummers. Good sound for the price, and it has all cymbals and hardware included in the package. Cymbals are entry level, as well as the hardware that comes with the kit, but for the price, its an excellent buy. I would definitely recommend this drum set for parents looking to get their children into drumming. I am a reviewer at sam ash music. jl9222

Comments about Groove Percussion DK120WRB 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Hardware:

This Groove Percussion drum kit complete with hardware and cymbals, but you will need to still buy a throne. The cymbals are a weak spot, but those can be upgraded down the road. New drum heads will make a big difference in the sound. Overall a good starter kit for the money.

Comments about Groove Percussion DK120WRB 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Hardware:

The Groove Percussion GDK120 kit is definitely geared towards those just starting to learn how to play. It is an excellent choice for a first drum kit, as it was my first one as well. Does it sound like a professional level kit? No, and it's not supposed to be. The GDK120 is a set for beginners, a cheap and easy way for parents to judge if their child actually has interest in playing. The only downside to this kit is the cymbals are not really cymbals, and I would suggest replacing them. I would suggest looking into the Groove Percussion GDK160. Read my review there.

Comments about Groove Percussion DK120WRB 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Hardware:

You cannot beat the price for this set. Excellent starter shells, however the cymbals are a total dud! Especially the crash cymbal. Honestly, it would have been better off excluding them and just provide the stands and better heads in the packet. Upon purchase just prepare to replace each cymbal. Other than that, good look and sound for beginners.

Comments about Groove Percussion DK120WRB 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Hardware:

This set was purchased for an 11 year old beginner. Although the drums sound great, the crash cymbal makes a BONK sound. An experienced drummer I know said that it is useless. After contacting customer support several times, I was told that that is how the cymbal sounds. They actually suggested I contact the percussion department to buy a new cymbal. I just purchased a COMPLETE drum set with cymbals and should not have to purchase a new cymbal as a replacement for one that belongs on top of a trash can.

I bought this kit for my son, he is 9 years old and just starting out on the drums. For the price you cannot beat this set. I can see we will have to replace the heads after not too long as they are poor quality and the crash doesn't really "crash" but overall this is a great kit for a beginner or anyone on a tight budget. Added bonus free, fast & secure shipping. I will definitely check out this site in the future for deals.

Comments about Groove Percussion DK120WRB 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Hardware:

This not a high quality item but is fine for a beginner. Too many drum resonances. Cymbals are terrible. Moongel and Remo rings help a lot. Even though it is not a good idea, I put a 6" x 12" piece of tea shirt inside the toms through the mount hole. I taped the snares to the resonant snare head with packing tape so I could keep the snares slightly loose. These snares are low end and if even a little tight, they cause a horrible ring. The tape also stopped the toms from getting the snares excited. It actually sounds pretty good. Now for new cymbals.
