Comments about Danmar Percussion 210 Star Powerdisk Kick Pad:

i use just the hard part, like vinnie paul, actually got it from his drumtech. like i said it depends on what sound you are going for, i like the click sound, its easy to get that live band kick drum sound without having to push the eq, the feel of the head is lost a little bit, but barely noticeable. if you dont like that click sound, this isnt for you, but if you are a vinnie paul fan, then buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Comments about Danmar Percussion 210 Star Powerdisk Kick Pad:

i was not expecting much and rightly so. the product is actually a decent quality sticker with a really hard piece of cardboard in the middle (optional intelligent tonality kick drum enhancer). i ripped that optional intelligent tonality kick drum enhancer off and got my old tone back, thank goodness. the cardboard piece makes a high pitch pop or crack sound like hitting hard plastic or wood, it also feels unnatural. i expect that the round sicker will serve to protect my head, thats all i wanted anyway.
