The Longboards A Double with a black anodized finish. The original Axis 20th Century color scheme on a longer scale.

The Axis Longboards extend the usable footboard area by 2 inches.  This greatly increases leverage and power by allowing the entire leg (calf and knee) to be powerfully expressed with the utilization of heel-toe strokes.

Comments about Axis Percussion AL2CB Longboards Series A Classic Black Double Bass Drum Pedal:

These pedals are so sick. i play everything from 250bpm blast beats for long periods of time, or straight out jazz. so responsive, i had dw 90002, iron cobras, pearl eliminators and nothing compares. all u do is tighten up the side spring action and ur set. It will take sum time getting use to the feel so ur a joke if u think a week of playing with these, you'll get the hang of the feel. i highly recommend even for the price. if u cant afford just get a job.

Comments about Axis Percussion AL2CB Longboards Series A Classic Black Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I use this pedal for two or some more years. My style of playing is a bit powerful, but not in excess. Yes, the pedal is light and powerful. But. First, it's difficult to configure. Second, I changed heel bearings TWICE and there are three backlashes in the hammer holder drives, one of them is HUGE! I don't recommend this.

Comments about Axis Percussion AL2CB Longboards Series A Classic Black Double Bass Drum Pedal:

With normal practice this pedal will make you better. The Axis pedals have been popular for quite a while and for good reason. Once you try one, you will not go back to anything else..The Axis double pedal is much faster than the DW 9002 pedals and will allow for a lighter foot and faster playing. The construction is solid, and the convenience of being able to change the double to two singles extremely easily is great, along with the fact that the beaters come with felt and cork materials to put on them.

Comments about Axis Percussion AL2CB Longboards Series A Classic Black Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I bought these hoping for a change but they didn't work for me. Great look and super lightweight construction, but if you're used to a chain driven pedal, these will drive you crazy. The feel was just too light so I had to add weight with my 9002 beaters. I tried them for a week or so, but couldn't make the transition. I can see how the metal players can benefit from them, but for the blues, country, and rock & roll gigs I play, I'll stick to my dw9002.

I love these pedals. they are my babies.
I just got them today and they are simply amazing.
they have incredible adjsutments that beat the use of cams. which means they can be extreme responsive and everything its theb est pedal to get.
            axis did an amazing job..
only bad thing is the price.. ouch but ..
it was worth it.. make sure you go axis.. dw 9000 is weak compared to this thing
