The 5520-2 is a complete double pedal hi-hat package. This design allows the auxiliary side of the double pedal to be on the outside of the hi-hat. The pedal can easily be converted into a 5520 when using a single pedal.

The new Lateral Cymbal Seat Adjustment utilizes a specially made nylon insert wing nut for easily adjusting the angle of the bottom cymbal, even while playing.

Integrated Memory Locks on all tube joints guarantee 100% repeatable precise height settings every time.

Swivel Legs allow easy positioning of bass drum pedals and other stands around the Hi-Hat Stand.

SM379 Locking Clutch is standard on all 5000 Series Hi-Hat Stands.

Upper rods come standard in two lengths with all 5000 models, allowing you to customize the Hi-Hat Stand for your specific needs.

Comments about Drum Workshop 55202 Double Pedal Hi Hat Stand:

This stand was no easy feat to set-up. (It came with no instructions!) I figured out how to attach the pedals/stand from a photo found on DW's website. Difficult to figure out also was how to secure the two legs so the stand would not fold. (This I found by accident as I adjusted the pedal connector.) The stand moves considerably if you are a high-hat "heal tapper" when you play with the hats closed. BUT, the responsiveness of the stand and hats is amazingly smooth. It seems to do some of the thinking for you. Beware, though: if you adjust the cymbals so they are touching slightly, and you use the double kick, the cymbals will rattle a bit. This will be a problem with recording, or when you want silence while using double kicks. The stand folds well, and the pedals themselves are fantastic. Economically, it was cheaper to get a two-in-one stand, but re-learning pedal placement (since the extra kick is on the outside of the HH pedal) has been tricky. It would be like trying to drive a car with the gas and brake pedals reversed...!) I feel like I've been born again into drumming, though! Perhaps it's just the new 5000's I now love -- had been using an old Pearl HH stand, and a set of 90's Gibralter dbl. kick pedals.
