These specially designed bass drum pedals have extended footboards for a different, unique feel. You asked for it, and now you’ve got it! DW has release a set of 9000 series double bass drum pedals with extended foot boards. With an extra inch of playing room, the XF series makes techniques such as heel toe a breeze. It also makes life a bit easier for those of us who have, let’s just say “slightly larger” feet. As if having to special order our sneakers from Nike wasn’t bad enough, now we’re stuck with tiny bass pedals, what gives? Well kiss those podiatry problems good bye with DW’s new XF models!

Comments about Drum Workshop DW 9002 XF Double Bass Drum Pedals:
Finally long boards!!!! In my 30 yrs of playing I have owned a series of DW pedals, DW 5000 new in the late 80's, (had that pedal for 15 years and loved it), DW 8000, great pedal but not exciting, and now I just purchased the 9002 XF. I have to tell you I had a bit of a hiatus from DW. I have been playing for over a year a Tama Speed Cobra that I absolutely love, why?, the long board. Also the ability to add the Pearl non latency shaft from the slave. With that said, I am excited with the the new 9002. I am a little disappointed with a couple of things though, as I believe these 3/4 the way to a complete pedal. 1st, the cam on the slave is not the same as the master. The slave has the old 8000 cams, while good not nearly as adjustable as the master. 2nd- The slave cannot be converted to a master pedal. 3rd- no zero latency drive shaft. All other appointments are great.
