NS6 is a 4-channel digital DJ controller with a complete built-in mixer and four decks of software control. Sam Ash Direct has the guaranteed lowest price and fast free, shipping.

NS6 builds upon the critically acclaimed breakthroughs of NS7, NS7FX and V7 by adding 4-deck capability and a full-blown 4-channel mixer in a compact, portable, all-metal housing that is built to perform. Designed in collaboration with Serato to deliver powerful breakthrough performance to DJs of all kinds, NS6 is ready to go wherever you want to take it - both physically and musically.

At the heart of the Numark NS6 DJ Mixer is a premium-quality fully independent 4-channel mixer that can be used with or without a computer, making the NS6 perhaps the most versatile DJ controller and mixer combination in the world. NS6 has a full range of input and outputs for connecting virtually any device: RCA inputs on each channel and four line-level inputs with two switchable to phono and two switchable to mic.

Each of the Numark NS6’s four channels has an input selector so you can easily transition between controlling ITCH's four decks and your external sources. Control ITCH one moment; mix in your turntable, iPod, or a mic the next. NS6 makes it possible to grab music from virtually any source and bring it into your mix. Connect two CD players, two turntables, two mics – the combinations are endless and completely up to you. NS6 is a software controller, but it’s equally ready to handle everything else you’ve got.

Comments about Numark NS6 4-Channel DJ Mixer:

The hardware itself on the NS6 is rather impressive. I would rate the hardware at 4.5 stars and the software at 3.5 stars. The sound far exceeds that of the Mixdeck and previous Numark mixers and controllers. The platters work as advertised and are a good size. Also, having a true 4 channel mixer sets this apart from most controllers, except the new Dennon (which is too small for me). There are actually line inputs on all 4 channels. That is the reason I went with this over the DDJ-S1 and NS7, which really don't have inputs (or have a poor excuse for one). There are plently of outputs including 2 sets of RCA and one set of XLR. The only negative about the hardware are the mic inputs. They run through channels 3 and 4. So, if you deceide to use a mic you lose use of one of your channels. The switch to activate the mic on a particular channel also happens to be on the back of the unit. Meanwhile, the switch to toggle from PC to line is on the front of the unit. Seems like they got that reversed. Also worth noting, you need to actually push down the effect selector knob before pressing the FX button to assign and activate a new effect. Not really an issue, but it took some time reading forums to figure that out. The effects section is actually done very, very well. I would really have liked to see rubber play/pause/cue button because I have had issues with Numarks plastic button in the past, but again nothing detrimental. The ITCH sofware is by far the most dissapointing part of the package. It is a very raw program. There are limited views, no automix playlists (for dinner type music), no sampler section at all, the beat engine is a joke (BPMs 1-59 and over 160 are way to common in my library), and you cannot globally search for songs. You have to actually load them into itch and go into the corresping crate/list/folder. ITCH 2.0 appears to address some of these shortcomings (should be released by Sept) inclduing additional views, improved beat engine, and a sampler. I will be running this with VDJ Pro until I get a look at ITCH 2.0. Make no mistake SSL, VDJ Pro, and Traktor P/S users will become very frustrated with ITCH. The last issue I ran into was a slight delay when I first hooked up the unit. A firmware and software update took care of that nicely though. I probably over-stated the shortcomings of the unit and software, but that is because I didn't hear about these things when researching the product. The claims Numark makes are on point. It is well built and versitile. The sound is excellent and this is by far the best peice of Numark equipment I have every used. The feel of the platters, 5 hot cues, beat slip, and lay out of the unit is done extremely well. It is compact, but not crowded and really looks good it's case. I highly reccomend the hardware.
