The Screaming Blues Overdrive/Distortion is designed for artists who need a pedal that responds to playing dynamics. Blues players in particular will love how the Screamin’ Blues gives them total control of their tone. Playing lightly gives you a mild overdrive, but dialing up the gain and digging in hard will make the Screamin’ Blues sing with ultra-rich harmonics and sustain.
    •  Level - controls distortion output level. •  Low - adjusts boost and cut of bass frequencies. •  High - adjusts boost and cut of upper harmonics. •  Gain - sets the maximum distortion amount when playing your hardest. •  Dual Outputs - The Amp output is for connecting directly to a guitar amplifier. The Mixer output’s Cabinet Emulation circuitry lets you connect directly to a mixing board or recording device.

Comments about DigiTech Screamin Blues Overdrive Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal is better than most in its price range. It is very responsive and the range is amazing on the gain. It goes from almost clean (can be used as a boost) to a nice crunch, to raunchy distortion. It suceeds in that it doesn't colour your amp's sound very much, so that it works effectively as a modestly priced tubescreamer, but the gain gets a lot hotter on this and the EQ lets you shape the sound. There isn't enough sustain to go around on higher gain settings, which betrays the unit's price range, but I'd recommend it for a versatile, quiality budget distortion pedal that gives you a nice vintage crunch with plenty of headroom for modern saturated sounds.

Comments about DigiTech Screamin Blues Overdrive Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

"ok i bought this pedal because my amp is bascily crap so i though it would give it a boost and a bit of over drive, but its totaly not what i expected, there is no over drive on it, its nothing but distortion, and i have to say damn good distortion, screaming blues my butt, there is nothing blues about this pedal. one good thing about this pedal is that it gives you complete control over your sound, i will give it that, good dist good control, other than that its a basic dist pedal and once again there is nothing bluesy about this pedal! i think iam going to go with the bad monkey tube overdrive pedal better, i will review that tomorrow!"
