At the top of Casio's Privia line, the PX-850 reaches a new level of realism including grand piano lid simulation and sympathetic resonance. Get your piano experience from the experienced musicians at Sam Ash Direct.

With the new PX-850, Casio has taken the digital piano to a new level of realism in the complete piano experience.  The Privia PX-850 features Casio’s AiR sound technology to reproduce the subtle gradations in timbre that characterizes a fine piano sound.  Casio has added a Lid Simulation feature to simulate the changes in tone with the grand piano top open, closed, half open, or removed.  Casio has even considered the tonal changes in Privia PX-850 resulting from Damper Resonance, Hammer Response and Sympathetic Resonance. The Privia PX-850 includes Casio’s scaled hammer action keyboard for a true piano action that will satisfy the most demanding players.

Casio has also equipped the Privia PX-850 with a dual 20w speaker system and a cabinet that opens to provide a rich concert sound.  The PX-850 features 18 Instrument tones (including 5 piano tones) and 256-note polyphony. The PX-850 has 1/4" audio outputs and a USB output so you can easily connect the PX-850 to recording and sound reinforcement gear.

Comments about Casio Privia PX850BK Digital Piano:

Title says gorgeous PIANO and not keyboard for a reason. Sit down in front of this and play for a couple minutes, and tell me you are not playing a PIANO. Most people don't have the money or ROOM for a gran piano, and with this you get the look, the feel, the sound, at a huge fraction of the cost AND size. If you need a good decorative piano piece for your home, you found it!

Comments about Casio Privia PX850BK Digital Piano:

This is a great Keyboard for people who want to feel like they're playing a real piano. It's got a lot of different sounds in it, and it's a lot lighter than an acoustic piano. I'd definitely recommend getting something like this if you plan on leaving the piano where it is. It looks great in a classroom, a home, or a lesson room.

The Casio Privia series has put out some of the best sounding pianos in the mid range price point. Not many companies can provide the quality Casio has at such an amazing price. Weighted keys give you that grand piano feel.

Comments about Casio Privia PX850BK Digital Piano:

As the big brother to the 750, the PX850 picks up where the PX750 stops. Exactly what you would expect from Casio. USB/MIDI connectivity makes recording a breeze. Two onboard 20 watt speakers are plenty loud. The keys are comfortable and easy to play. Great for many styles, the PX series is sure to please. Relatively small size is great for many applications (bedroom, practice space, studio, etc.)

Great playing digital home piano. Tone is great, feels and plays like the real thing but with the flexibility that you only get with a digital instrument. Hammer response keys with sympathetic resonance so it responds to the way you play. Comes not only with different types of sounds, but even simulates the lid position of an acoustic piano- half open/ closed/ fully opened. USB output for direct recording. Great investment.
