Native Instruments DJ and Music Production Software
Since it was founded in 1996, Native Instruments became the leading
computer-based DJ and audio production software company in the growing
industries of sound synthesis and recording. With sample software instruments
like B4 and FM8, producers expanded their synth collection with NI's plugins
and, with their Kontakt sampler software, allowed users to operate outside
sample libraries with one package.
Native Instruments Komplete
Kontakt soon became part of the Komplete software collection of creative
tools, effects and instruments with dozens of styles and musical genres. Just a
few of the muli-faceted packages NI has placed in this family of Komplete
software as well are Reaktor sound design, Battery drum sampler, Absynth
semi-modular synth, plus advanced sound processing tools for recording and
mixing. In total, Komplete offers up to 16,000 sounds in 65 of NI's software
products, plus up 370 GB of their samples.
Native Instruments Traktor DJ Software
Native Instruments continued to revolutionize digital music and performance
with new incarnations of its Traktor digital DJ software, which moved DJ tools
into the computer and sparked rapid growth in creative DJ mixing and
performance. As Traktor broke these boundaries, NI developed its own
cutting-edge digital DJ controllers, audio interfaces and groove sequencers.
Maschine for Music Production and EDM
When Maschine was released in 2009, it immediately pushed the craft of the
DJ into a new level, merging mixing with groove sequencing, sampling and live
performance, with its design for intuitive and spontaneous music creation.
Today's Electronic Dance Music production and urban and DJ musical styles are
driven by sampling and sequencing innovations pioneered by Native
