Comments about Blackstar HT STAGE 100 - 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I play thrash metal through this beast. Low tunings never get muddy. This amp really responds and performs differently depending on the guitar/pickups. I use DiMarzio in a Strat and it sounds like a chainsaw. If I play an ESP w/ EMGs, it sounds more like a stump grinder. I have used this amp's clean channel for solo classical performances, and it has cleaner tone than anything I've owned. If you want vintage tone, it's there: VOX,Fender,Marshall. Excellent amp for an affordable price!

Comments about Blackstar HT STAGE 100 - 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I play mainly 70s/80s rock ranging from Led Zep to AC/DC to Van Halen to Dokken and then some Alice in Chains. This amp covers all of that ground while letting me find my own sound and tone. The amp is a beast at low volumes and as I raise the volume even more, it gets better. There really isn't a problem with this amp, except it is on the heavy side. If anything, I would change the tubes just to experiment with it and see how much better the amp could sound. Had it for about 3 months now and there have been no reliability issues. I look forward to buying more Blackstar amps in the future.
