Comments about Blackstar HT-METAL Valve Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

I play anything from hard rock to death metal and anything in between. This pedal really does it all, i purchased it as a replacement to my Boss Metal Zone which was extremely stale. I've normally found that 'metal' pedals sound pretty rubbish but this one really does sound amazing. I'm running it through my ibanez with dimarzio pickups into my Blackstar Artisan 30 head (which is normally a boutique type amp). This pedal just turns it into a complete filth machine but still retains clarity. I have channel 1 set up for heavy rhythms and channel 2 is my lead channel. You have separate volume controls for each channel so i have my lead channel set a little bit higher to cut through when i need it to.

This pedal is extreme but controllable and very versatile! If you back off the gain you can get hard rock tones or even bluesy type tones! I don't think this will be moving off my board for a long time!

To much noise if you use high gain. For overdrive ok, but it is for metal...
