The HT-Club 40 is the ideal tube amp for the working musician for club sized venue. Sam Ash Direct has the guaranteed lowest price and fast free, shipping.

Equipped with 2 channels and 4 modes, the Blackstar HT Club 40 is the ideal gigging valve amp for club sized venues. The 40-Watt EL34 driven power amplifier has amazing punch and dynamics that will easily cut through in a full band situation. Switching to the ISF equipped overdrive channel accesses a further two modes – ‘classic crunch’ and ‘super saturated lead’.

The Blackstar HT Club 40 is powered by two EL34 power tubes and two ECC83 preamp tubes (which are a European-designated variation of the 12AX7s that are more familiar here in the States). The Clean and Overdrive Channels are footswitchable. The Clean has Volume and Tone controls with a voice switch for what the company describes as “boutique” and “modern” voicings. The Overdrive has Gain and Volume controls, a three-band EQ, Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature, and a voice switch that offers “classic” (tight and crunchy) and fuller-body voicings. The amp’s front control panel is rounded out with Master Volume and (digital) Reverb controls.

The patent-applied-for Infinite Shape Feature: “The ISF control works in conjunction with the Bass, Middle and Treble controls. It allows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. Fully counter-clockwise has a more American characteristic with a tight bottom-end and more aggressive middle, and fully clockwise has a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive.” The rear panel features a Speaker Emulated Output, a Dark/Light control for the Reverb, and an effects loop. The combo weighs in at 54 lbs.

Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

If you haven't played through a Blackstar amp yet, and there are some out there who still haven't, you need to try them out!!

Great....no, amazing portable tube amp with tons and tons of clean tone, great depth and warmth, clear highs and at all different volume levels. Almost unheard of considering tube amps. The price cannot be beat either.

Depending on your music styles you will either really enjoy this amp or absolutely fall in love. I play metal, hard rock, etc. so this amp works beautifully for that, but is still rather flexible. So, bring in your guitar and plug in and see what I'm talking about. There are so many options this amp gives you that you truely must have someone demo one for you. Then we'll cut you loose for a while to have fun and explore what this great amp can offer. Happy shredding!

This is a great sounding small tube amp with big sound. Want an "American" type sound, turn the ISF knob. Want "British"? Turn the ISF the other way. Blend for that just right clean crunch. This amp is amazing. This is a real hands on product review from Jason@ Sam Ash Huntington!

Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Blackstar makes some great tube amps at really affordable prices. I mainly use this amp for recording and it does everything that is needed. Very versatile there is a wide range of great tones you can get out of this amp and when you crank it up it breaks up just like you would want out of any tube amp.

Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

As stated above... I usually can't stand "versatile" amps. Amps have their uses... and when they try to bridge gaps... they sacrifice something to gain that versatility. A Fender sounds like a Fender... and Marshall Sounds like a Marshall... when you start messing with that... and it stops sounding like it's supposed to... it is a sin. Blackstar somehow did it. They managed to deliver a versatile amps that literally sounds good no matter what your style. I never say that... I hate it when other people say that... but in this case... it's actually true.

Amazing amp... surprisingly affordable for the quality. Just phenomenal in my book... hands down best amplifier on the market today.

I am a Sam Ash employee in Clearwater, FL... reviewing this amp because I LOVE it!

A great portable metal amp! One does not need to crank this amp up to get a solid metal tone out of it. Also nice blend with the ISF switch. Throw your pedals in front of it and Enjoy!

Comments about Blackstar HT CLUB 40 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Unlike many tube amplifiers, it still holds its great tone at low volume (and the high volume is earsplitting!!), so you can mic the amp and still get that full rich clean tone, or heavy, light, or middle crunch/overdrive. the reverb is an excellent feature, and when turned to the max, it does wonders and makes individual slow notes literally sing without getting muddy. It also has a speaker emulated output, meaning if you plug recording equip into this slot, it records sound with the same effect a cabinet produces. there is a built in effects loop, and three speaker outputs... one for the built in 16 ohm speaker, and two more for either two more 16 ohm speakers, or one 8 ohm speaker. With a Standby option, you can leave for a short while, and when you come back to play again, the tubes are already hot for you!
