The Peavey Millennium 5 AC BXP bass guitar opens a new world of active-pickup tones for bass enthusiasts.

There's a lot to be said for an instrument that just feels right. Widely praised for their solid tonal response, comfort and craftsmanship, Millennium Series bass guitars are essential equipment for gigging bass players who crave a finely crafted instrument that responds to an individual's touch. Peavey Millennium bass guitars are well regarded as the essential working player's bass for their solid low end, playability and craftsmanship—in fact, pros such as John Campbell (Lamb of God), Josh Sattler (doubleDRIVE) and Marco Mendoza (Ted Nugent, Whitesnake) are avid Millennium players.

Designed with the same VFL active electronics that Peavey uses in their high-end Cirrus Series bass guitars, the Millennium 5 AC BXP opens a new world of active-pickup tones for bass enthusiasts. An active electronic system, driven by Peavey Cirrus neck and bridge active pickups, provides an extra boost in volume and tone with more expressive sound control. Onboard electronics include volume, pickup blend, bass, mid and treble controls.

These 21-fret, 34 inch scale basses also feature a rosewood fretboard, five-bolt hard rock maple neck, basswood body and an attractive quilted maple cap.  Case not included.

Pros

Cons

  • Fret Buzz
  • Poor Quality Craftsmanship
  • Sharp fret ends

Best Uses

  • Jamming

Comments about Peavey Millenium 5 AC BXP 5 String Bass Guitar:

Fret ends were extremely sharp to the point where tha bass was unplayable with out cutting up your hand. Had to file fret ends down, very poor craftsmanship, set up was ridiculous from the factory it was obvious they made no attempt whatsoever to properly setup the bass. It should have been set up properly and then had the string tension removed for shipping(i ordered it online) Also treble knob is very noisy, floppy B string I should have known that at a 34" scale the B string would probably be lousy. The one good thing though is the tone on this is incredible that is why i didnt send it back, I took it to a Luthier that I know and he corrected all the above mentioned faults. The moral of the story-Try it before you Buy it,[...].

I LOVE THE TONE, YOU CAN GET ANY SOUND YOU WANT WITH IT. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THE 21 FRETS. I WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE 24.
