Great Example of Bang For The Buck

from Prince George, British Columbia, Canada

Comments about Ibanez ATK200 Bass Guitar:

I owned an Ibanez BTB 6-string for a few years prior to buying this bass. Although I enjoyed the 6, I kind of felt like just going back to my roots, ie., a 4-string. I didn't know how "seriously" I was going to get back into playing bass, so I didn't want to be spending megabucks. I picked up an ATK200 at a "chain" music store in Prince George, BC, Canada, and it was pretty much love at first sight (play?) - The bass just felt RIGHT to me, and I was blown away at the versatility of the active double HB pickup. An absolutely fantastic little bass that I think is especially suited to pop, rock/blues-rock & could probably cover country as well. Gets some decent slap/pop tones as well. It's not the lightest bass in the world - the body is a massive slab of ash - but I have always preferred heavier basses anyways.

You pretty much can't go wrong for the price with this bass, and that's why I am giving it 5 stars; the "bang for the buck" factor is about as good as it gets. Whether you're a weekend warrior/semi-pro with regular gigs or a beginner, consider this bass. Fun to play, great tones, an all-around winner.
