The VX410 Bass Cabinet delivers the warm, punchy tone of paper cone drivers enclosed in a rugged, road-worthy construction.

The VX "Very Extreme" Series bass reflex cabinets were designed for demanding bassists who require excellent tone but prefer the warm, punchy tone of the traditional paper cone drivers. VX410 enclosures feature proprietary drivers with specially treated cones, impregnated fabric surrounds, matched convex dust caps all mounted in heavy steel frames. The high efficiency low moving mass design allows for maximum output and plenty of headroom throughout the full range of the driver. Rounding out the tone, each cabinet has a proprietary design horn loaded high frequency transducer. Using Heavy-duty plywood construction, the rugged carpet covered cabinet has strong protective corners, ergonomic handles and a recessed jack cup protecting its two 1/4" inputs. The VX410, handling 400 watts, features a four 10" speakers, plus its horn loaded 1" throat compression driver.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty plywood construction
  • Four 10" proprietary drivers
  • One horn loaded high frequency transducer
  • Power Handling: 400 watts @ 8 ohms
  • Ergonomic handles
  • Parallel 1/4" Inputs

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I bought these speakers a few years ago when I had a space to jam out with friends and was in a band. I never ended up using them to their full potential, never really increasing the volume past 3 or 4 on my amp(hartke HA2500).
Having said all this, I am very pleased with these speakers and don't really have any complaints. They sound great, giving my bass (a 5 string Warwick Rockbass) nice clear lows and highs. If I were to give any negative feedback I would say that sometimes I have trouble getting the mids to come out as well as the highs and lows do.
Overall this is a great amp, at least for practicing, and that it's priced very well. I believe I only paid about $4-500(including tax)a few years ago when I made the purchase for the speakers AND the head.

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I've owned my VX4X10 cab for 3+ yrs and found that combining this cabinet with another cabinet will get you anywhere you wanna go.

I have paired this cab with 3 other cabinet configurations to help achieve the sound and tones I require for each gig. I use a Hartke HA4000 Head, BBE MaxCom Compressor and Sonic Maximizer, Furman Power Conditioner, and Line 6 BassPod Pro. A Yamaha RBX 5 string bass and a Heavily Customized/Modified Peavey Millenium 4 string.

I prefer a pairing of either a VX 2X12 or 1X18 (Custom EV) cabinet set up. Running dual 4X10s is fine for Country, Blues, Jazz, and Classic Rock gigs. Otherwise if you run odd tunings, play ERB, or Progressive Metal and need deep bottom end sounds try a 2X12, 2X15, or 1X18 set up.

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I bought this speaker cabinet as a back up to my Peavey cabinet and, the peavey has (2) 8" scorpions and (1) 15" Black widow. I really enjoyed the highs from this speaker but, you will have to buy something else if your preference is a heavy bottom end. This is a great speaker if you like the sound of Getty Lee or Flea on bass. Unfortunately not everyone playes like either of those two listed. If your job is to lock it up with the drummer, playing 1/8 notes with an occassional spotlight on the bass, this is not the speaker for you.

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This is a very solid cab. I play in a metal band that has gained a decent number of fans locally, and through the 15-20 shows I've played in my 1 year and change in the band, this cab has showed up every time. I use it with the 2500 head, and I get good, punchy lows as well as crisp highs. The only negative I have with the amp is that there are no wheels which it isn't impossible to transport without, but it would definitely be much easier.

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This cabinet is ok in a small enviroment. Great mids and highs. Doesn't like exteneded range basses (6 and 7 stings). BUT!!! if you you put it with the VX215, you have a completely rounded out rig for less than 600.00 bucks. All the highs and mids you need with the 10's and horn plus the earth shaking bass of the 15's. If you have the means to move around both cabinets, get both. Otherwise, the VX215 is a better bet. Make sure you have an amp with ample power. Despite the price, this is a professional's cabinet and it'll give you what you want if you supply it with what it needs. (250+ watts)

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This bass cabinet is good but only for at home use. It sounds good when you're at home, but is you go to a gig, you would not get that deep tone bass you would want. Bottom line is I would suggest this cabinet to a beginner but definitely not a pro.

Comments about Hartke VX410 4x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

Bought one VX410 cab 2 weeks ago [...]. As for the cabinet,..it is great. I will be adding another VX410 in a month or two,..it is the perfect match for my Hartke HA4000 head. I get a complete array of highs and lows with this cab and the harmonics ring well. I "might" add a 1 or 2X15 cab instead of an additional 4X10. I won't yet make a final decision but I am still leaning towards the additional VX410. I was really surprised how nice this cab sounds. Reminds me of my days playing through a Sunn Colisuem with a 4X10 and 1X15 cab. I am sold on Hartke !! Thanks Larry for a great product[...]. Rock On !
