The Hartke HyDrive 810 cabinet was designed for demanding players who need critical performance at intense volume levels

Hartke's made revolutionary innovations in the bass amplification industry with the HyDrive series of combo amps and speaker cabinets. The HyDrive series utilizes patented Hybrid Cone Technology which employs an outer paper cone to produce a deep, juicy low-end in conjunction with an inner aluminum cone which will give your mids and highs a nice punch while still remaining sweet.

The power-to-weight ratio is one of the most substantial advancements of the HyDrive speakers. The weight of the HyDrive speaker is 40% less then your typical speaker and puts out 250 watts for the maximal power-to-weight ratio compared to any bass speaker on the market.

The innovation continues even further. The HyDrive speakers, due to their cast aluminum frame and neodymium magnets, are capable of delivering more reliable power handling at peak performance and allow for cooler operation.

With the HyDrive 810, the flagship of the line, Hartke has worked "industrial strength" into every facet of this remarkable cabinet. Power for days, a double set steel grill, inset side handles, a diamond steel kickplate and underneath, a pair of roadworthy, steel casters. The HyDrive HX810 was designed for demanding players who need critical performance at intense volume levels.

Perfectly suited for all kinds of bass playing, Hartke engineers also specifically designed the HX810 with the midrange frequencies rock players rely on night after night on stages all over the world, putting the ultimate exclamation point on this cab's versatility. And the HyDrive 810 is a sealed, quad-chambered cabinet, featuring the highest quality plywood, extensive bracing and dado joinery, making it rigid yet lightweight for superior projection of sound and true sonic clarity.

With the HyDrive 810 you get eight 10-inch 250 watt HyDrive neodymium hybrid cone drivers, allowing 2,000 watts of hammering bass power in the lightest 8 x 10 cabinet around. That's more than double the power capacity of any other 8 x 10. To get this much power from traditional paper cones, you would need a cabinet that had 20 speakers and weighed nearly 400 pounds! With all this lightweight power and tonal versatility, it's clear that the HyDrive HX810 is the new big daddy bass cab on the market.

Comments about Hartke HX810 HyDrive 8x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I played with it in the store. Fell in love with the sound quality from it. I used to run 2 GK 410 all aluminum cabs, this hybrid Hartke paper/aluminum has got a much, much sweeter sound. I had an issue though. I got it home and hooked it up to my Hartke LH 1000 head and my head fried the fuse. thought it was my head, so i got aother LH 1000 head. Same thing happened. Removed the speakon jack plate from the 810 cab and discovered that the paralle chain wiring between the 1/4 & speakon jacks was touching. The link wires are actually 2 very short pieces of rigid bare soldier. Must have got jarred when we loaded the cab at the music store. none the less, i spread them back apart and coated them with some liquid electrical tape coating. Replaced my LH 1000 fuse and was back in buisness. I guess the 4 ohm limit went well under when positive was touching negative. Small speed bump, but 1 great of a cabinet!

I purchased this cab after trying it with my amp and bass at the columbus ohio store. It sounded great. I made the purchase, and took it right to a gig that nite.I played my rickenbacker 4003 thru my sansamp rbi thru my crown k2 power amp into this cab. After the first set i realized this cabinet is the missing link to my tone.Very bright tone, yet amazingly great puncuation on the drop d songs, something my ampeg cabs never did.I am finally totally happy with every poin t of my tone.

Comments about Hartke HX810 HyDrive 8x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I find this easier and faster to set up than 2 4/10 cabs(Like I had been doing). It is hard to try every cab out there. I looked for a month online for the most sound for the right price range and this baby is sweet. I`m using a Hartke 5500 Hd. or Peavey VB2 tube Hd. with a Fender P-Bas and everyone in the band loves this cab.I`m glad I didn`t spend more on another brand. This is a great deal.I`m waiting for a large gig so I can use with the two 4/10 cabs. Fun!

Comments about Hartke HX810 HyDrive 8x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This amp is killer! Best I've used in my last 10 years of playing. Don't get me wrong, Ampeg and all the other brands are incredible, but the Hydrive series cabs take the cake. Punchy, extra loud, and versatile only describes the tip of what this cab sounds like. Go to your local shop and try one out. You WON'T be disappointed.

Comments about Hartke HX810 HyDrive 8x10" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I've only had this this a couple days but I can say this is an amazing cabinet. This thing is well built and awesome just to look at. Sometimes I find myself just staring at it. It took some tweaking at first to get the sound I liked, but I think that's only because the sound spectrum it offers is so wide. Because of it's clarity this thing almost doesn't sound loud. You can tell it is though because you can feel it. Additionally, things in the room that you didn't notice before start making all kinds of rattling noises and falling off of elevated resting places. As a basic rule I decided not to crank it too much in my house because I'm sure it will break the seals in all the double pane windows. The cabinet is a little lighter then I expected but it still would be helpful to have someone help getting it up and down stairs. The only problem I had with it was at medium volume levels the grill rattled a little. But by using my supreme intellect I tightened the screws that secured it with something called a screwdriver. "wallah"
Good thing I'm not a drummer!
