Great tone but hard to play lowest note

Comments about Adler Alto Recorder:

This has great tone because its wood. The lowest note is difficult to close compared to the other Alto recorders I have. The other two are Yamahas. Unfortunately they are plastic, so they don't play as long without getting wet. and I also don't think their tone is quite as good as this Adler recorder which I assume is because its wood. The Yamahas do sound very nice. But there is a subtle difference and this Adler has that more ancient organic sense to the sound and maybe part of the experience is affected by the feel of wood versus plastic.. This is a very subjective thing and I don't know different they would be from 2 feet away, but I'm playing mostly for myself anyway. I usually read other reviews but don't write many of them. I never see reviews on this recorder, so I thought I would write one. If you have bigger hands than me, then maybe the problem I'm having closing the lowest note won't affect you. But I find it odd that I don't have the same problem with other recorders whose dimensions I would thing would be the same since they're also alto recorders.
