Comments about Selmer Reference 36 Tenor Saxophone:

"I've had a Ref 54 and Series III. Nothing compared with the Mark VI I played years ago until I picked up the Ref 36. The sound is rich, complex, centered... When I blew the first few notes I knew this was the horn. When my wife heard the first few notes she said, ""THAT IS IT!"" The subtones are a breeze all the way down...so full with depth! Note: Some have said they have problems with the altissimo on this horn either being in tune or being weak. I have not had that problem. The altissimo speaks clearly and with ease. The only note that is weak is the altissimo G, but that is a fact across the board with any horn. To sum it up, this is my life time horn. My tenor soul mate! I'll have her until death us do part!"
