A modern redesigned saxophone for the 21st century player.

Antigua Winds began a collaboration with internationally-known saxophonist and designer, Peter Ponzol. The goal was to develop a new modern saxophone - the Antigua Pro One - that would satisfy the needs of the accomplished 21st century player. The key feature of the new Antigua Pro One is a Peter Ponzol neck design. This new neck is free- blowing, has lightning quick response, precise intonation, balanced resistance and even tone quality from top to bottom.

Features:

Ponzol Neck Design: Peter Ponzol designed the Pro-One neck to be free blowing, even resistance and balanced tone from top to bottom, easy altissimo register, wide dynamic range and accurate intonation.

Vintage Reserve Allow Body Material: Vintage Reserve Alloy replicates the metallurgy and grain structure of post war French saxophones. This special alloy recaptures the vintage sound desired by todays professional saxophonists. The proprietary annealing process was developed to create a lively, controllable, free-blowing saxophone.

Keyboard: Antigua made subtle, yet significant changes to the keyboard of the Pro-One saxophones to provide the player with more natural, ergonomic hand positions. This new keyboard relieves muscle strain and allows for improved facility.

Hybrid Rolled Tone Holes: Rolled tone holes provide a larger contact area for the large pads on the bell keys. This results in superior low note reponse and wider dynamic range. Straight drawn tone holes on the main body gives the tone a "core," balanced resisitance, and improved response.

Ponzol "Trident" Double Key Arms: The Ponzol designed "Trident" key arms push the large bell keys closed with an even pressure across the key cup and reduce flex and vibration for improved feel and response. Also allows for easy and accurate adjustments.

G# Pad Lifter: The G# pad lifter was created by Peter Ponzol while designing saxophones at Keilwerth. This mechanism solves the age old problem of the sticky G# pad one and for all.

F to F# Bridge Key: The F to F# bridge key closes the F# pad more effectively and improves the feel of the right hand keys.

Table Keys Connector: The table key connector fills the gap between low C# and B key spatulas to prevent the finger from sliding under the low B spatula. This feature greatly improves facility in the left hand spatula keys.

Parabolic Tipped Pivot Screws: Hand fitted French curve pivot screws eliminate end play and side play in the hinge rod keys to provide great feeling and silent key action. This action can be adjusted in future years to compensate for wear.

Blue Needle Springs: Temper-blued needle springs are imported from Germany to give the Pro-One the precise, nimble feel damanded by professional saxophonists.

Case: Premium quality fabrics, all metal hardware, hide-away backpack straps, 2 outside pockets, embroidered logo, and padded back cushion.
