Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

This little Ampeg has all the tone and portability you could ask for in a bass amp, unless you play with an ear-jarring metal band. The only negative I can find is the covering material is cheap and rips all too easily. I'm pretty careful with my gear, I don't tour, and it rarely leaves my house, yet I constantly find little tears on the edges from where it might have bumped into something. I'm spoiled on the kind of Tolex they used to use on Fenders, and this stuff ain't it. Other than that, it's a fine little amp at a decent price and it sounds like an Ampeg should sound.

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I needed a replacement for my Eden Nemesis NC210. What I found was the BA115. This unit punches through...even with my Cort Curbow 5 string. If you need a combo amp with a DI that can hold the foundation down...this is the ONE!

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I bought this thinking I was getting a great amp powerful enough to get me through any small to medium sized gig. The amp has great sound, but, it just doesn't have enough power at 100 watts. I guess I should have known that, but, I let myself be sold. Exchanging it for something more powerful tomorrow. I would recomend this to a friend for practice, studio, recording, but, not playing out with a full band.

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

This amp plays better than my friends Peavey. He can't believe how far the sound travels out of such a "small" bass amp. Our sound guy loves the direct-line output, and I love the tilt-back feature. It is heavy to move from practice to performance, and I suspect the top carry strap will fail one day in the distant future.

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I originally bought this amp as a practice rig and an amp to use in a small venue where a stack would be too much. Since then, it has become my mainstay, as it provides everything that I need. It is a good all around amplifier and it has Ampeg behind it.

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I am the bassist for a small band. I use this amp for just about anything. Practice, gigs, you name it. This amp handles them all with some of the best bass tone I've heard. I play it with an epiphone Les Paul special bass. I was tired of how my bass sounded so dull through my hartke combo and was considering switching basses. However i got this ampeg as a gift and it completely changed the tone. I know it could be a lot better but for now it sounds great. I love the 5 way selector which makes each note sound anywhere from completely sublime and smooth to loud and thumpy.Matched with the 3 band eq you can get any tone you want. As a matter of fact I;ve been forced to use this with a guitar at a show with a zoom pedal and it did not dissapoint me one bit.Its just very versatile and good in every setting

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I read most of the reviews praising the heck out of this thing but I was very disappointed in the lack of power this thing has. It is way overpriced for how quiet it is. I returned it after one band practice. The tweeter has a constant hiss and is sounds bad too! Shame on Ampeg.

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

This is the best bass amp I've ever played. I love the Ampeg sound, and I thought you needed the big cabinets and the head to get that sound, but that sound has been made into this combo amp, which is also not little. It's an amazing amp by far. It's a must buy, so 5 stars!

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I recently changed to a J Bass from a P Bass. I wasn't getting the sound I needed from my amp. I tried the Ampeg BA115 at a local Sam Ash store. It sounded great. My previous amp did have more watts, but the sound just wasn't there. For a 15" speaker and a horn, the BA115 is a compact combo. The controls a simple to set. Enough settings to tune in your individual sound as you like it. A good price for a well made amp. It doesn't rattle itself to death if you crank it up. Try the BA115. I'm glad I did. I wish I would have tried this Ampeg a lot sooner.

Comments about Ampeg BA115 1x15" Bass Combo Amplifier:

I wish I had two of these amps. One at home and another for the road. My practice studio is in the basement. It's a bit of load to carry up and down the stairs, but then again, its a bass amp so what else would you expect!

Great versatility with the use of the Style switch.
