The Fender American Professional Telecaster Electric Guitar gives players the very best of today and yesterday.

Fender is guided by one clear, simple directive: make life better for musicians. While the original Telecaster certainly did that (and then some), the folks at Fender weren't content to rest on their laurels. Fender's team of mad scientists examined every component in near-microscopic detail. If they were able to improve it with a new design or modern materials they did; if it didn't need improvement, they left it alone. When the wood chips and solder fumes settled, what was left was the American Professional Telecaster—everything you need to play your best.

Developed by vintage pickup master Tim Shaw, the V-Mod single-coil pickups are voiced specifically for each position, mixing alnico magnet types to produce powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. The newly redesigned Telecaster bridge sports three compensated brass barrel saddles for the perfect combination of vintage style with modern feel and performance. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The new modern “Deep C”-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Telecaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend. Includes hardshell case.

This is my first Fender - and I love it. I love the tall frets and the bright tone and it is so easy to play. The pickups sound like the P-90s of old. I bought this music machine on a recent trip to NYC and the service at Sam Ash was outstanding.

Great update to a classic series

The Telecaster is one of my favorite guitars ever. Light weight body and bright, twangy sound is recognizable to any guitar player. This year Fender unveiled their newest incarnation of the Telecaster called the Pro series. The biggest update you get with this guy is the brand new V-mod single coil pickups which gives you a nice little boost in tone compared to other models as well as diversity between pickups. You also get a new Deep "C" shaped neck which once played will never want to play a different one.

This is a solid upgrade across the board. The improved pickups sound fantastic and add more versatility to a telecaster. The neck profile is very comfortable and the tall narrow frets are a cool improvement making for a fast playing neck that has more solid intonation. The combination of a bone nut and brass saddles provides great sustain and clarity. This is an awesome renovation to an American classic!

        American Excellence

There's a couple tweaks to this timeless design that Fender knocks out of the park. the narrow-tall frets really helped with intonation up the fret board as advertised. Chording further up the neck sounded truer than ever, and the redesigned V-mod pickups transported me to vintage Tele-land.

I already want a butterscotch and mystic seafoam! Pickups created by Tim Shaw which detail every position which they are placed. Look great, sound great and American Made!

In my opinion this is the best production model Fender has released yet. The frets on these guitars are much taller, giving each note amazing clarity and sustain without needing extra force pushing down to fret each note. The pickups are not noiseless, but are extremely warm and versatile. The guitar is extremely comfortable on a strap or sitting and is well suited to any musical situation.
