A direct descendent of the guitar that powered underground music from the late-'60s to today, the Fender American Professional Jazzmaster is ready to lend its unique sound to your playing.

Originally intended for sophisticated jazz guitarists, the Jazzmaster was quickly embraced by musicians attracted to its left-of-center looks and fat sound. A direct descendent of the guitar that powered underground music from the late-'60s to today, the American Professional Jazzmaster is ready to lend its unique sound to your playing.

An elegant model with flexible electronics and a rich voice, the Jazzmaster's introduction in 1958 marked the first time a rosewood fingerboard was used on a Fender instrument. Thanks to its effortless playing feel and ergonomic offset-waist body, the Jazzmaster has powered infinite musical genres, including surf rock, gospel, new wave and indie rock, among others.

Developed by longtime pickup guru Michael Frank, creator of the renowned Eric Johnson Signature Stratocaster Pickups, the V-Mod Jazzmaster pickups kick out hot, vintage-inspired tone with plenty of punch and definition. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit. The modern "Deep C"-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords. The improved tremolo and bridge incorporate a screw-in arm and brass Mustang saddles that stabilize the strings while adding a touch of sonic zip to your tone.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Jazzmaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.

I've been waiting years for fender to make a maple neck jazzmaster! This guitar is amazing the neck and the frets are extremely comfortable and make bending easy. The pickups are one of the best JM pickups I have ever played on. Well worth the money!

    Fantastic guitar with smooth playability

    By

The Fender Jazzmaster is a classic guitar, giving birth to the musical stylings of Johnny Marr and Kevin Shields among many others. The tremolo system on the bridge is where this guitar truly shines, allowing you to dive up and down in between playing to create unique sonic shifts. The pickups are crisp and clear and sound amazing, and the control layout is extremely simple, one volume, one tone and a 3-way switch. This is an incredible guitar for the money and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to spice up their sound.

This Jazzmaster is a fantastic guitar! I love the tall narrow frets. They make the intonation more accurate and allows for fast, comfortable playability. The pickups offer clarity as well as a full bodied warm tone that is suitable for a variety of musical styles. The neck is very comfortable and well crafted. If you've been on the fence about buying a Jazzmaster, now is the time to make your move!

      Classic to Modern Sound

I was really impressed with this guitar. It's pickups have a lot more clarity than other jazzmaster's I've played. It feels right at home playing Ventures tunes with the reverb cranked, but you can crank the gain and get really cool Green Day type sounds. These also play really great, and come set up perfectly right out of the box.

First off, WOW, the Jazzmaster is amazing. The new Mustang bridge sounds so much better, no buzzing. The rhythm circuit is so much simpler, all I need is a 3 way. Such a great guitar with great improvements and I'm so glad they are finally putting this back into the main line!
